I don't like to say it, because I completely came around on him a few months after his initial singles run and enjoyed the hell out of everything he did, especially Calves 'N Abs. But while I don't blame him nearly as much as I blame bad booking because Bully really has tried, but let's call a spade a spade (or an ace an ace): This title reign blows. I'm not sure if it would be better or worse if TNA were still doing monthly PPVs, but I would lean towards worse. The match with Anderson has been the high point and even then it wasn't a very high point. A 2nd Roode title reign or a Daniels reign would have been much better than what we have got.

Bully is a tremendous heel but yeah, the booking and Aces & Eights has killed both of his reigns.

I don't even know what he is doing at the moment. In theory he should be feuding with AJ now but AJ is now cannon fodder for a Dixie Carter heel turn and that match is barely being mentioned. Bully seems more like he's about to feud with Knux over the soul of Aces and Eights. In fact what IS the BFG card at this point?

I don't even know what he is doing at the moment. In theory he should be feuding with AJ now but AJ is now cannon fodder for a Dixie Carter heel turn and that match is barely being mentioned. Bully seems more like he's about to feud with Knux over the soul of Aces and Eights. In fact what IS the BFG card at this point? I don't even know. What was scary to me about Impact tonight was that for the most part it seemed like they were just finding something for the guys still in the company to do and winding down old angles. |

Its not Bully's fault, the whole Aces and Eights angle should have never happened. Who has it got over? No one.
TNA current situation is a giant mess and no one seems to be doing anything.

Bully is a tremendous heel but yeah, the booking and Aces & Eights has killed both of his reigns. Having two reigns doesn't help either. He should have had one,long dominant reign with the title before losing to AJ at BFG. I love Sabin but his reign really meant nothing in the long run & took away from Bully & his. Being with the Aces & 8's really hasn't helped his cause either; that group is stale as hell & and the sooner it's done with, the better for his career. |

Why DID they have Sabin have that weak ass win and subsequent non-run? It didn't elevate him, instead making him look like a fluke-y idiot, and it derailed any momentum Bully had, which he hasn't recovered yet.

The biggest problem is that he's yet to have that signature feud. A champion is only as good as his challenger and Bully had had very forgettable feuds. TNA's had this problem a lot lately. They gave Aries the title win and gave him no one to feud with. Roode was kind of the same way in that his big foe was supposed to be James Storm, but TNA booked Storm into oblivion. TNa needs to create some interesting feuds. Here we are, 3 weeks from their biggest show of the year and their world title match participants have yet to share a single promo. Next week we will get one and by then we'll be 2 weeks from BFG. TNA has seriously flopped with building to this show. And this was supposed to have been avoided by dropping all these PPVs!

To be fair nobody I remember in a long time, had a really good title run. Styles got muffed when Hogan came in. Sting's are lackluster. Jeff Hardy muffed his with drugs before he got much heat. Bobby Rhoode had one going but the natural payoff of a rematch with Storm, got curtailed. AA actually did alright but didn't draw either. So I dunno if I should blame Bully or tna uncreative

It all has to do with his faction dying out before bfg. Now it is like nobody can buy him keeping the belt away from aj styles.
His run before losing to sabin was good. Why did he need to lose?
Why are they killing his faction before bfg?
Are they going to swerve us with knux, wes, and garrett powerbombing aj styles so bubba stays champ?
At this point story makes no sense. Bubba hates tna and has tried to take over and destroy it. AJ hates tna and will try his best to kill tna.
Why would I want either to be champ?
Hell if i was booking i would have had kennedy win the bfg series and start builind dissension within aces and 8s.
Anderson wins at bfg, then on impact bubba and the cronies beat up anderson and kick him out. Then we are off to the races as anderson swears to take down the club one guy at a time.
Easy ass booking. Too bad tna didn't re-sign him.

Because TNA wanted to be unpredictable and gave Sabin a Lex Luger type of reign. Sabin's win would had meant something if he didn't look like a weak bitch against Bully. When the only way you could beat Bully was via outside interference and a hammer shot, you're doomed. Especially when you're suppose to be the face. Bully wasn't over enough to shrug off the lost and him winning back the title was a forgone conclusion. And Sabin wasn't elevated and is actually worst off before he won the title. |

And Sabin wasn't elevated and is actually worst off before he won the title. only thing i can think of is that it was just an excuse to give Sabin a reason to turn heel since TNA knew he'd be cheered on his return after all the bad injury luck he suffered. so that got him the x-division title, then they had to remember "option C" (which may be their version of money in the bank cash-ins as it's gone 2 for 2 now). the title "reign" seemed more of a thank you than anything- or to possibly try to divert attention from the AJ BFG win most were expecting because "instead of the surefire match with bully now it's sabin!" but of course Bully got it back which made any other reason for a sabin title run a waste unless it was to lead to a heel turn for him. of course velvel is still a face so trying to figure out if she's supposed to be TNA's Miss Elizabeth (apologies Liz) now or what? |
