I'm not mad at Del Rio being champ. I'm disappointed that the 10th longest WHC reign is just over the 100 day mark.

He's been either champion, or in a feud for the WHC for over a year now Technically there was like a breif one month period after the 6 month Sheamus oddesey, while Sheamus/Big Show was happening, he feuded with Orton over, the right to be called Viper or some shit.

Ah yes, Alberto "The Apex Predator" Del Rio.

I could have sworn the general consensus was that the WHC was a worthless title.

He's been either champion, or in a feud for the WHC for over a year now The only World title PPV matches since Over the Limit 2012 he has not been part of are No Way Out, Hell in a Cell, Survivor Series, and TLC. And the only reason he did not get the title shot at No Way Out is because he got a concussion just before the show. Incidentally, I'm pretty sure Hell in a Cell 2011 was the last time there's been a PPV World title match that did not involve Sheamus, del Rio, or Big Show.

Sad that someone's at 10th longest with a reign that's not even 4 months.

I said it before, but sometimes I feel like I just want the World Heavyweight Title to be quietly forgotten. Like Instead of outright retiring it or unifying it, they could just let Del Rio carry it around like it was the Million Dollar Belt or the Internet Title, while everyone else just focuses on the WWE or IC Titles.

I'm just glad they aren't wasting the WWE title on him. Holy god that was a massive mistake for them to pull that at a hot time. Then again, this is WWE, which tends to do whatever they can to alienate as many people as possible then wonder why the hell no one is engaged in their product. I'm at a point where the World title is such a non-entity, it's almost a placeholder WWE champion. Like...WWE wants to reward you, give you the illusion that you're "the guy", but clearly you aren't because you're not WWE champion. With no brand extension, there's no reason to give a shit. "Oooh the World champion is on Raw!" Well guess what? So is the WWE champion. If you don't put distance between them, how are people supposed to the World title means something? It doesn't. You're not "the guy". Hell the number one contender to the WWE title is more of "the guy" than the World champion is, so in a best case scenario (I said absolute best), World champion Del Rio is the 3rd most important, tops. Here's me caring again. 13 more days and he'll be 4th in combined total World reigns passing both Sheamus and Undertaker. I don't think WWE has the balls to have him pass Edge though.

Because WWE has neglected their midcard so badly, the only way they can get people over nowadays is to shove them into the main event scene or into programs with main event talent. So what we're stuck with is WWE trying to pretend that a bunch of upper midcard talents are "top tier guys" rather than just letting them be relevant and credible midcard acts. Also, and if Cena were around and NOT going after the WWE Title, Del Rio would be 4th most important.

Del Rio is pretty much the perfect person to hold it currently because he and the title are basically the same. Pushed as a big deal but is ultimately irrelevant and nobody cares about it, it's existence is currently unnecessary and is only kept around to dig into people's pockets that would part with their money anyway when offered one of the superior alternatives.

When I hear '10th Longest World Heavyweight Championship Reign' I don't really think that sounds impressive. It's only been around since 2002 and he has the tenth longest? That doesn't sound impressive to me.

I honest forgot he was even World Heavyweight Champion. I just tune him out. When his music comes on, I turn the channel and then come back mid match, or if I'm DVR it, just fast forward to the end.

He's been either champion, or in a feud for the WHC for over a year now Yeah, it's worse because it feels like he's been the WHC since Last Man Standing with Big Show, but I had forgotten that Ziggler's concussion reign broke it up.
