*Lapis heads into his royal chambers, looking for a good night's sleep. But he stops, seeing a mask on his nightstand. Upon a closer look, we see it's a mask of dual sides, one side completely black, while the other side completely white. He turns and looks onto the balcony, a little surprised as we see a pony standing on the balcony. The pony wears a long overcoat with a tie around his neck. But the strange thing we see is this pony is completely covered in bandage from head to tail. As Lapis looks at the stranger, we hear an omnipotent theme play.* "I've lived my life as a newspaper reporter. I uncover the truth and write my articles. But then I learned, all too well, that a mere reporter like myself can't ever get to the truth in this city, or any city... it's nearly impossible. And it's unsure! No one here is even interested in learning the truth - a truth that must be known. But I want to know! I want to learn what must be known!" *He falls back off the balcony, as Lapis runs over, looking around, but the mysterious pony has simply vanished. Lapis turns and freezes, seeing written largely on the side of his bedroom, in what appears to be blood....* SCHWARZWALD |
