How many times are they going to screw Bryan over? There's gonna be a point where if he does finally win the belt, it won't mean anything. Thought the show was good. Tag title match was really good, also I enjoyed the Big E match too. Main Event was way to predictable though. For $50, stuff is getting old. Save the crap booking for Raw.

Ya'll learned a valuable lesson tonight. Don't get too attached to WWE. They'll only break your heart. Seriously. I was one of those guys saying that this storyline was gonna be awesome, make Bryan the man and we just needed patience. My patience ran out last PPV, I'm so far beyond the point of caring now that tonight's finish had no effect on me. Now I'm just going to be jaded about every storyline WWE does with a performer I actually like. I was good with it becuase I knew something big would happen with Trips reffing at Summerslam, and him turning heel has needed to happen for a while. And he's done some very good work, particularly in first month or so of this angle. But the more they kept denyin' Bryan, the more it started to stink.

Alright, so other than the main event and Cena being WHC, anything else to discuss? Hmmm... The opener was really freaking good. That's about it. Yep. The tag-team match was amazing. The rest was a slow descent into vomit lake.

I don't see what the big deal is, guys. Orton is tall and mighty while Bryan is weak and small and indie and B+. Why wouldn't Orton win? Pay attention to the storyline! Anyone would think Orton won in a 10-second squash match. Orton needed help from two others to win, it hardly made Bryan look bad, whether you like the storyline or not.

6 year old bread isn't any less stale today. Just throw it in the toaster man, you won't know the difference! This should be WWE's disclaimer

Time for the monthly contemplation of why I still follow this, I guess... If I get a different answer than the usual "Gotta have some faith, otherwise don't bother", then there's an issue.

It's not that hard to skip. I've seen maybe an hour total since they turned "Cena wants to prove himself against Bryan" to "Vince thinks Bryan is small and smells funny". I rely on recaps and what I hear on here to decide whether to check something out or not. Sucked to do the first few weeks since it was breaking a habit of watching wrestling on Mondays going back close to two decades but it's nice not to be completely disappointed with something damn near every Monday and those special Sundays there are PPVs. Oh yeah, no doubt. I still tune in every week but I totally get why people wouldn't, and that many don't. I wasn't being sarcastic with that. Just being a sad clown.

Well if the World Title HAS to exist, can they just let Cena hold onto it forever while everyone pretty much ignores it with the exception of John Cena's token PPV opponent? That's how the belt's been booked for a year now anyway, go for it. Except (as I've said before), it wouldn't be as obvious and bothersome. If Cena doesn't have it, we have WWE trying to pass upper midcarders off as main eventers when they're really not. And you have a guy who is a world champion on paper, who is totally overshadowed by the Authority storyline and everyone in it, which damages them. If Cena has it, then its just "John Cena's feud that just happens to contain the World Title, which no one cares about anyway". We WANT Cena out of the spotlight, but he still has the star power to put people over even when he's beating them and retaining the belt that no one cares about. You can test new stars' main event worthiness by having them feud with John Cena rather than just having them curtain jerking with a paper title.

I'm just shaking my head at all this. I get that they've dreampt of Orton/Cena as the main two since 2004, but 9 years on and Orton does NOT draw. Ratings tank every time he's on top, people tune out very noticeably.
So we'll get them at Mania and D-Bry is back to...what exactly? US title? Or is he just going to float around in the Bridesmaid role where he "can't get it done"?
No shame in being 1a or whatever, Jake Roberts level, but what does it do? It proves the heel right, and the whole angle comes down to Triple H was telling the truth.
I predict conflicted, mopey-ass Shawn on RAW but here's the quandary. If Shawn says "ok, one more match" then the whole bit about "I won't ever wrestle again" moment, we all know never say never, but will D-Bry get put over, or will it just be 2002 "Trips vs Shawn, DX at odds" all over again?
We all know the answer.
Damn shame. I love D-Bry and I think he's money. He moves merchandise and the fans get behind him. Guess that's a bad thing, though.
NWA booking of "face chases" can be ok, but at some point the face has to look good, convincingly. Three months in and D-Bry looks worse than he did going in.

Someone clarify. Did HBk kick Bryan on purpose or was he aiming for someone else and missed? With those f***ed up googly eyes of his, how will we ever know? HBK doing a Mr Magoo gimmick would be fantastic, especially if he blamed it all on the Hulkster's big boot at Summerslam '05.

If Bryan had won tonight, the pop still would have been huge and no damage would have been done. You can't speak for the millions of people who watch WWE.

In between the ending of this show and BFG, I just want to play "Let Nas Down" by J. Cole. The whole mood of that song sums up my feelings towards wrestling right now. Of course, I'm Nas in this analogy .

Who knows where they are going with this but I am tuning out. I'll just focus on Rhodes and other lower card guys. I'm just tired. I'm tired of Punk and Heyman, bryan vs Orton, HHH and steph shitting on everyone, and Cena back in the spot light. They might reset after this ppv or SS but it is pretty tiring.
