...for the first time and you could only watch one PPV with them, which PPV would you watch?
Doesn't have to be recent, at the minute it's a toss up between MITB 2011 and Summerslam 2002.

I know people will probably think it's a bit of cliche but I'd say WrestleMania 17. It's one of the best (in my opinion the best) PPV's of all-time and it has a great mixture of matches. You have the personal story-driven father-son rivalry, the balls-to-the-wall crazy TLC match, the Hardcore match antics, good, solid wrestling matches in the Y2J/Regal, Angle/Benoit and Eddie/Test matches, a nostalgic Battle Royal, Undertaker and Triple H attempting to kill each other and then the (once again, in my opinion) most epic confrontation in wrestling history in Rock/Austin II. Add in the crazy heel turn at the end, the hot crowd and the fact that everything bar the Right To Censor matches were at least very good. It's one of those shows where at the very least there is something for everyone and if the person I'm introducing to wrestling doesn't like this show then the chances are wrestling isn't for them.

One of these three:
-ECW One Night Stand 2005 -ECW One Night Stand 2006 -Money in the Bank 2011
You really need something with an energetic crowd to properly convey the best energy of a wrestling PPV, and all three of these have that. Plus, the wrestling is good to great on all them, there's lots of variety in match types and wrestler types, and the results are good and satisfying. (Bad endings leave bad tastes.)

This. Wrestling is often compared to a three-ring circus where everyone has their favorite act and there's something for everybody. WM 17 fits this mold perfectly. Plus add to the fact that almost every match is good/serves a purpose, so a newbie can see a decent example of these "acts".

Wrestlemania X-Seven. Cause if they cant find one thing to like about that ppv, then there is no hope in them liking anything wrestling related.

Another vote for WM17. It showcases everything that made me love wrestling.

If I were just introducing them, I'd say MITB 2011, but only because its more current.

Every year I invite a couple wrestling virgins (or past fans) to watch the Rumble and every year I convert at least 1 back to active viewing.
I've noticed Rumbles are just about the most entertaining thing for them because they are not always aware of who's who and they honestly think a good 2/3's of the roster could win it all. Plus, you don't need any back story to enjoy a Rumble. The same match also normally has a little bit of everything... a buffet of wrestling so to speak.
Dude hasn't watched wrestling for 15 years, see's Diesel come out and goes apeshit like a school girl. You just can't achieve this kinda thing any other time of year.

Frankly, knowing my friends? The raw after mania with the insane crowd. That would get them into wrestling more than anything else.

I would probably watch the next WWE pay-per view with them first. If they're not interested in the current product, there's little point in showing them anything else.

Wrestlemania 17. It may not be the best wrestling show I've ever seen but it certainly is the most well balanced.

I totally forgot about Wrestlemania X-Seven, I think that might be the winner!
I'm not too bothered about getting them up to date, it's more a case of if they do like it they may be more open to watching other DVDs and maybe Wrestlemania with me.

MITB 2011
It was one of the rare times wrestling felt "cool" again.

Bad thing about showing them mania 17, is afterwards they might watch the current show.
If your first experience with wrestling was mania 17 and your second experience was watching a current RAW episode, that'd probably wrap up wrestling for you.

The best way to get casual fans interested is to set up a fun fantasy draft game that starts at the Royal Rumble and runs until Wrestlemania. Even if the newbies feel like they don't know who to pick, the Rumble is always a GREAT way to introduce pretty much everyone in the show, and the amount of time they get in the Rumble usually indicates how important they are to watch. Everyone gets to pick their favourite people, and see them progress until Mania. It's like fans of sports who only really watch during playoff season. Even if they never become lifelong WWE fanboys, you can always sell them on Rumble, Elimination Chamber, Mania every year.

My brother and I have a house party every year and incorporate the rumble into a drinking game. Then we put on a bit of a show and do a few moves to each other on some bean bags in the lounge room. It's funny because everyone thinks that we legit hurt ourselves (especially when I do my flying elbow off the bannister) But I have found the best way to get people to admit wrestling is actually pretty cool is with a few PWG matches, especially tag team ones with people like the Young Bucks, AR Fox, Samuray Del Sol etc. My 2012 DDT4 dvds has made a few people fans
