"...then Triple H's promo has to be the most stupid promo in wrestling history." - Dave Meltzer, Wrestling Observer Radio
Paraphased that slightly, but who could blame Jericho and RVD if they don't want to take WWE's money after what Trips said about them last night. Of course, if they show up in the next few weeks or months, it's part of the angle, but if we don't see them for a long time, then Trips just cost his company some pretty big money that those two could have brought in for short runs.

I kinda felt like that line was out of place, especially when Jericho and RVD are guys who could literally decide to sail their ship somewhere else. I'm sure HHH said it and thought he was just being edgy but everything is ego in the pro-wrestling business and that kind of comment can and will piss people off.

I highly doubt Y2J and RVD care much as long as they get a check.

Because both RVD and Jericho are total idiots who can't tell when someone is trying to get the crowd mad at them? He said that they were popular but they weren't "best for business". If anything he was trying to rather unsubtly bother the smark fans which I'm pretty sure Jericho would find hilarious based on his own record.

I highly doubt Y2J and RVD care much as long as they get a check. Jericho seemed to care somewhat on his Twitter, saying that Triple H wasn't the top guy either, and Jericho seems perfectly fine touring with Fozzy and making his money there.

And I highly doubt Jericho if offered will turn down A nice mania check. He is not dumb.

How dare a heel say such a thing like that? That bastard, heels shouldn't be taking shots at other guys or saying false things.

The number one rule when following Chris Jericho on twitter is to believe nothing he says wrestling wise is a shoot in any way.

And I highly doubt Jericho if offered will turn down A nice mania check. He is not dumb. That's the point. If they don't show up by Wrestlemania then Meltzer believes that it's it's the stupidest promo in wrestling history. We're not saying that they wouldn't show up for a 'Mania paycheck, what we're saying is that if that remark wasn't angle advancement then it was a total waste and a shot at one great wrestler (Y2J) and a good wrestler who was just fighting for the World Heavyweight Championship (RVD) which was totally un-needed.

So we're now at the point where even the wrestling newswriter is getting suckered by the heel?
RVD and Jericho are popular as f***, so Triple H - the heel in this scenario - said they were shit, which the fans disagree with. IS THAT NOT KINDA THE WHOLE POINT OF BEING A HEEL?
Jesus Christ.

At the very least that comment has cost them some money with RVD come Rumble time when they try and get him back, "like I would love to come back, but my feelings are still hurt by the comments that Hunter made. Maybe a couple more grand on that contract could help me feel better about this whole thing"

Jericho's reaction from Twitter:
I have no idea what the details of this are or who's exactly saying what, since I can't read Twitish, but it....doesn't sound good? *shrugs*

Unless Jericho is working, which he's not beyond doing. He's worked Twitter a good few times.

It's the new "Heat 101", since we live in a world where everyone knows THIS BUSINESS, to get heat you have to take cheap shots are the smarks, I guess.
I hate it, really. I watch wrestling to watch the bad guys lose and the good guys win.
