I want someone to bring that up on a modern-day feud with HHH. Like, HHH is going "BRYAN YOU LOST IN 18 SECONDS THAT'S PATHETIC" and he responds with "...Really because at least Sheamus didn't no-sell my finisher." Honestly I just want an excuse to see this footage replayed on tv. www.youtube.com/watch?v=6v-SG8IcslwEvery single part about it is hilarious. "NO IT'S NOT" was delivered perfectly. Warrior's no-selling was also beyond perfection. Like he didn't just no-sell it; he got up so quickly it was almost like being pedigreed made him stronger. Warrior went past no selling and straight into buying. I really wish we had a wrestler that was so blatantly overpowered he could no-sell finishers. Like we have Cena, but he does sell. It's just that he sells for very, very shorts amount of time. Which is ridiculous but still sorta makes him look human, albeit one with a mutant healing factor. What I really want is someone who flat out just doesn't sell moves and has the commentary selling him like he's a Dragonball Z villain.

I'd love for Warrior no-selling the Pedigree to be Triple H's equivalent of people playing footage of Vince signing "Stand Back".

Undertaker used to be kinda like that really early in his run and it was kinda cool.

Hunter may have had the kliq backing but IMO was going nowhere at the time. He was his WrestleMania equivalent to S.D. Jones, George Wells, Bolsheviks, Power & Glory, and Adam Bomb as in guys simply going nowhere, used to put over the star in line for a push. After the show he was in line to put over a newcomer that must have been so important himself that Todd couldn't be bothered to get his name right (MARC MORROW!). If not for Shawn, Stephanie or even Chyna, Road Dogg and X-Pac, Paul Roma would be the one calling Hunter/Terra Ryzing "the job guy from WWE/WCW."

It's just more evidence that if you're buried, you're only one good storyline away from recovering.

I don't ever want to hear the words "no sell" on WWE, but I would love it to no end if someone did bring this clip up in a kayfabe feud.
I'd love it even more if it was Warrior.

Didn't they show the footage and bring this up during his WM26 feud with Sheamus? And they just played it off as "I was young and cocky and paid for it".

Yeah, I am pretty sure something to that effect already happened, and kayfabe wise, that was really a good explanation. It was either that or paint Warrior like a whiny manchild like they did previously with the DVD, fairly or not.

I thought it was Sheamus who said that when someone brought up Triple H kicking his ass? I believe Triple H was actually talking about it being Sheamus' first WrestleMania and how cocky and self-assured he was being, and mentioned that he was the same way at his first WrestleMania, and well, look what happened. I think it's even in the match promo video if you care to look it up.

Smarks back in the day were furious over HHH being buried like this. If they only knew.

Q. Why was the Ultimate Warrior fired from the pet store?
A. He couldn't sell pedigree

And in the span of just seven years, Triple H used the Pedigree so many times and grew so much better at it that Booker T still hasn't woken up.

I'm convinced that Wrestlemania XII was the moment HHH decided to take over the WWF

It's just more evidence that if you're buried, you're only one good storyline away from recovering. If by one good storyline, you mean being heavily pushed and protected for several years, given midcard title belts (quite literally in the case of the European title), tournament wins, being paired up on camera with people who're far more over than he is and portrayed as the equal of people who were so over they were, for a brief period of time, actual legitimate mainstream celebrities? Then yes, anyone can recover from a burial with just one good storyline.

I think HHH sees this as hazing because it happened to him so he buries others the same way in spite.

What is the actual story behind the no sell, the match as a whole and why warrior wasn't around afterwards either?

What is the actual story behind the no sell, the match as a whole and why warrior wasn't around afterwards either? Something about Nash/Hall/HBK/HHH breaking kayfabe and hugging after a match, Hall and Nash left, HBK was Vince's boy toy, so Triple H got buried for it.

Something about Nash/Hall/HBK/HHH breaking kayfabe and hugging after a match, Hall and Nash left, HBK was Vince's boy toy, so Triple H got buried for it. That happened later. The Warrior thing basically boils down to why giving someone in wrestling creative control is a terrible idea.
