PWI has reported that Dixie sent out a memo that any rumors of Panda Energy selling the company is completely false. Memo schmemo. Until a deal is in place, they are almost forced to say that. They want to increase value, not decrease it. If they came out and said "Hey yeah, we're selling" it devalues the company almost immediately and brings out the sharks in the water. They need to keep it under wraps for the sake of competing buyers and their own return on it and the first rule of business in these kind of atmospheres is deny deny deny. And it was sent by Janice Carter, which is actually fairly big in and of itself since she's much higher up the food chain than Dixie (thats basically like it coming from Vince). I'm not buying it. The Carters wanting out of wrasslin makes too much sense and a denial really means nothing. Only time will tell whats going on. ENRON sent out memos denying the rumors of financial collapse all the up until the highers ran for it and left everyone else to deal with the impeding chaos. Since TNA has a good relationship with PWI, they leaked this story to them in hopes of killing the buyout rumors and making the promotion still look valuable to prospective buyers.

If it gets out Panda Energy wants to sell it lowers the price

Yeah, pretty much. Never listen to Kevin Nash when he talks about pushing guys. Actually, better yet, just don't listen to Kevin Nash ever. If he was anymore full of shit, people would have to be around him with HAZMAT suits on. Anyway, in regards to Vince purchasing it, the only thing he can really gain from this is having Impact Wrestling as apart of the WWE network, and I listened to this suggestion on MLW radio by the way in case I'm accused of stealing it to make myself look smart. But basically, the WWE Network pretty much has nothing, and they need to produce content. If you have Impact and produce it in a similar fashion (just with better production values), you can shuffle guys away from the WWE roster who are stale (Miz) and bring guys in who may not need to go through developmental, or even shift guys from developmental you don't know what to do with yet and have them work on that show. The video library is ok, but it's nothing special. The only thing I can see it being used for is if Xavier Woods makes it big or you want to do some tag team wrestling DVDs and have more matches with Team 3D. Other then that, Impact serves no purpose in WWE and should be bought out cheap if they lose their Spike TV timeslot. Also, Dixie Carter, in the immortal words of Jim Cornette, I would believe her if her tongue were notarized.

PWI has reported that Dixie sent out a memo that any rumors of Panda Energy selling the company is completely false. I worked for a company that had town hall meetings with the CEO who denied a sale. Little while later it was sold for $450 million. Then again for about $30 million when the new owners wanted out.

Impact could really satisfy that cruiserweight show the WWE Network wants...

Rumors going around a few of the dirtsheets are pointing to Billy Corgan as being the mystery celebrity trying to buy.
Not sure what that would mean for R-Pro, but he is really only a figurehead with that group. Some of those creative decisions have been...interesting. A guy dressed as Jesus (as in, Christ) ran into a main event, got choke slammed, and then was never heard from again. Wonder if we'd see that on Spike...

Main story comes from WrestleChat.net, who reported it earlier this morning. Wish I could post the link right now, but I'm currently on mobile.

Jake the Snake as part of booking/creative? Hell yes. Jake the Snake as outright owner? Hell to the no.

So to recap, the rumored buyers are:
Eric Bischoff Robert J Pera Eric the Actor/Howard Stern Billy Corgan Jake Roberts Mystery group from "outside the wrestling industry"
Viacom says they aren't interested, and Janice Carter claims the company isn't going anywhere. Am I missing anyone?

They'll all buy it. The most diverse and insane consortium ever.

Can anyone shed some light on possibly how much TNA is worth? My thoughts are that it's fairly affordable for people who higher ups who have the money... It's just a question of who wants to take on that responsibility of running that company. Is it fair to assume that? Thoughts?

Am I missing anyone? I'd bet that virtually all of those rumored to buy are straight up made up.

TNA should sell to another Carter: Jimmy. That way, their lower card wrestlers and Knockouts can finally have some affordable homes to live in instead of the bus station I assume they hunker down in (while trying to get the cracker vending machine to accept their wrinkled week's pay).
