For those interested, PWInsider got a copy of the memo from Janice Carter: I'd be more convinced if Janice was easing up on the "budget cutter" that she has be slashing through TNA, for the last 3 years. TNA actually does need a bit of extra capital to help fill out the roster and get the X-Division and Knockouts going again.

Memo has a "Iraqi Minister of Information" vibe to it.

So to recap, the rumored buyers are: Eric Bischoff Robert J Pera Eric the Actor/Howard Stern Billy Corgan Jake Roberts Mystery group from "outside the wrestling industry" Viacom says they aren't interested, and Janice Carter claims the company isn't going anywhere. Am I missing anyone? I'd bet that virtually all of those rumored to buy are straight up made up. Actually, Eric The Midget is serious about it. He admitted it on the show.

For those interested, PWInsider got a copy of the memo from Janice Carter: That sounds like a memo a retail company sends its stores saying they aren't planning to close any stores, then a week later 300 stores get shut down.

Corporate to Layman Translation: I care about TNA Wrestling until someone else take over Dixie's vanity project. When that happens, you're on your own. Now go back into filming videos between your shift at Jiffy Lube.

Or maybe she just wants to defend her company and brand over the wild rumors going around about it's status. I'm sure if there was the same vehement talk over the sale of WWE right at this moment then Vince McMahon would release a statement to his staff as well so that they don't all jump off board like rats on a sinking ship for no reason and really leave him in trouble. It's simple logic.

Because the Zahorian trial was not only covered by wrestling reporters but mainstream media sources like the New York Times and CBS Evening News. Irv Muchnick made it his life goal to find any dirt WWF and pro wrestling in general did.

not any new news but here in Northern Virginia, they mentioned rumors of Billy Corgan wanting to buy TNA on the DC101 radio station..then of course they played a Smashing Pumpkins song. But it seems TNA is finally getting that press everyone wanted them to get but its about it being up for sale

I think what he means is that at the time things were so kayfabe and those inside Wrestling's "bubble" wouldn't necessarily blab to the press about receiving such a memo when it could mean their whole industry ended up in the shitter, in which case maybe people did receive memos about the condition of the company and dispelling baseless rumors coming from the mass media.

With all the attention focused on denying the company is up for sale, I find it amusing that she thinks anything in TNA will revolutionise wrestling, let alone some stupid 24/7 project.

Actually the Impact365 project is going very well and producing some very entertaining stuff, I actually thought that "ReAction" which is partly what Impact365 project is based on was entertaining, original and worked very well in providing something different for the fans. Taking that one step further with Impact365 is maybe not revolutionary but it cannot be denied that it is a step in the right direction for the company in finding new ways to present the Impact brand to the public and that definitely is not stupid.

Actually it is too soon to tell what the 365 Impact project will do for the company, but so far it's not really doing anything that revolutionary or interesting. Some amusing things - sure, but they still need to decide if it will be kayfaybe or not and guide the talent more as well. Just doing more backstage interviews and iphone vids isn't really anything revolutionary, you know?
I do enjoy the house show clips though. Wouldn't mind seeing more of that kind of stuff. Watching Gail Kim work out is nice and all, but not exactly compelling content.
This 365 thing has potential though.

Kayfabe was on its sick bed before the Zahorian trial. Plus mainstream media journalists at the time actually did their jobs and sought out the truth. Just like nowadays, people in the wrestling industry sold info for money. It's the main reason why they learned about things like the sexual harassment issues in WWF and Dr Zahorian selling steroids to the wrestlers. If someone sent out a memo in Titan Towers, they would had known about it.

Wrestling doesn't really need to be revolutionary. A solidly booked product with strong characters, prestige titles, a constant elevatation of new stars, and compelling feuds which culminate in well paced and logically set out matches is all you need. No point trying to reinvent the wheel, or in WWE's case, be hesitant to even call it a wheel.
