Only thing I'll say here is I still don't get the Garrett hate. He had like a very small push where he won war games by pinning his dad. Otherwise, his push consisted of Gunner beating him up and then being a meat shield for Aces and 8's. Other issue I saw is both stables had decent starts, but then they had no idea what to do. Now that is an issue for sure. Garrett Bischoff on a wrestling show is the epitome of nepotism and I think nepotism is disgusting. He sucks and does not merit a featured spot on a wrestling show. He has done nothing to earn one and would never see one if his father wasn't Eric Bischoff. If Eric outright ran TNA I would expect World Champion Garrett Bischoff to be a given, and he'd probably be a biker or something at the head of a boring heel stable running wild for a year plus. Yech.

I'm sensing Bischoff is making calls to Ted Turner and asking him if he wants to get back in the rasslin business.

Is a pizza oven part of the deal? They still got the popcorn machine Brian Kendrick won on The Price Is Right.

Alright guys, time for us to pool our money together. If we have a FAN run promotion, we can finally put a sombrero on Chris Masters.

If they don't get a real TV deal and put out a real and engaging product, it doesn't matter WHO buys them. Jim Neidhart is going to buy TNA?

I will take Bisch running it over Vince getting it and furthering his strangle hold.
Bisch is as ruthless as Vince is...so I can see him getting it and immediately snagging up talent like Ziggler the very first chance he gets.

ASSUMING it's true, the big difference between WCW and TNA is that Time Warner wanted to dump WCW. I don't get the sense Spike has a similar plan with TNA. The key component is the cable deal. If Viacom is content with TNA, then I figure TNA will probably survive.
I don't see Vince interested in buying TNA. I don't think there's anything there he covets unlike WCW's tape library and the ability to negotiate with superstar free agents at the time like Goldberg once his WCW contract had expired.

I see the Carters selling it to Spike in all honesty. Vince won't buy TNA unless he'd get the kind of deal he got when he bought WCW. $3 million was nothing. Vince probably won't buy it unless there was a similar situation where Spike wants to drop TNA and the Carters are desperate to sell and call Vince. Unless that happens. Vince won't bat an eyelash at this.

To echo some of the sentiments here, I'd rather Bischoff buy it than Vince. At least with Bischoff you know he would try to keep it afloat and successful (whether he succeeds or not is another issue).
You never know with Vince, but I don't think he (or HHH) would value buying TNA for the library or the talent. If they wanted to sign Joe, Styles, Roode, etc, then they would have done it years ago, and nothing in TNA's library would appeal to the WWE simply because the fed has never had any real success (like WCW did and many of the old territories did). If the WWE brings Jeff Hardy back, are they really going to care if they could include Hardy/Aries in a future DVD set? Probably not.
Again, you never know with the WWE, but I don't think they really value TNA all that much enough to invest in buying it. I think Bischoff has a much, much better shot at succeeding at buying this company than he did in 2001.

What if... What if this was Bischoff's plan all along?
Sabotage TNA from the inside so that he could eventually buy it for cheap...

This all sounds familiar for some reason....... Agreed. So Vince will end up buying TNA mainly for the tape library and then bring a few guys to WWE like Sting, Jeff Hardy, AJ and Bobby Roode. Par for the course. I don't think it will go down that way this time. When WWE can put Bruno in the Hall of Fame, make amends with the Warrior, and salvage Superstars jobbers that they previously would have just fired en masse. And yet there are no signs that they want anyone from TNA, that is very telling.

Bischoff may not be a wrestling genius, but he's cunning if nothing else. This would certainly allow him to get the total control that he was thirsting for.

I think it's about time TNA becomes serious competition to the WWE. It's need a new owner:
Donald Trump
He ran Raw so well that one time.

honestly wouldn't shock me. Bischoff for all his faults, probably wouldn't put up with most of the crap Dixie did. Gotta disagree there. This is the guy that gave creative control in WCW to Hogan, this is the guy who let the wrestlers run the show in WCW, didn't really care about anything beyond the main event, and will let Hogan do what he wants. That's not bringing up TNA giving in to he and Hogan's requests. Bischoff will allow that crap to happen.

I want Bischoff to buy the company as well.
Alternatively TNA could be sold back to the NWA.
