honestly wouldn't shock me. Bischoff for all his faults, probably wouldn't put up with most of the crap Dixie did. Gotta disagree there. This is the guy that gave creative control in WCW to Hogan, this is the guy who let the wrestlers run the show in WCW, didn't really care about anything beyond the main event, and will let Hogan do what he wants. That's not bringing up TNA giving in to he and Hogan's requests. Bischoff will allow that crap to happen. Will Bischoff put up with most of the crap Bischoff did?

Chris Jericho's probably looking into being a potential buyer, since he was so disappointed that he didn't make a bid for WCW.

As much as we joke about Ted Turner getting back into the "wrasslin' business", I honestly don't think he's interested in doing so. I watched a recent interview of his and he seems content running his ranch and restaurant. As much as it would be kind of cool, I doubt if he even did come back, anything would change much from they currently are in the industry.

Alright guys, time for us to pool our money together. If we have a FAN run promotion, we can finally put a sombrero on Chris Masters. I'm in. I can throw in some of that money the government gives me for being crazy. Just think of all the other fun wrestling related memes we could turn into realty. I could hire Eve and make her a ninja. And get Bobby Lashley to dress up as Darkman. Lashman in going to be thing if I have to spend every dime of mine to make it happen!

Maybe I am alone on this, but I actually think if TNA had stayed on the course they were on several years ago they might actually be making profit now, and I don't even say that out of nostalgia for the KO division or the six sided ring. At the time TNA was starting to draw ratings equal WWE, albeit to their third string show ECW. They were starting to draw in sponsorship and cross promotion like Stacker 2 and Playboy. They were starting to diversify their merchandising with their first video game. They seemed to actually be on a slow but steady path of growth. Heck , even bringing in Hogan showed they had raised their profile from their weekly PPV days. But giving Hogan creative control and virtual free reign over company decisions was a disaster waiting to happen.

Assuming this is true, and Bischoff does indeed purchase the company what would he do with it? Surely he would need some extra help financial wise? Well, let's say hypothetically that Bischoff was somehow able to convince Turner to back him financially while Bischoff runs the company as it's president. Would history repeat itself and come full circle? Turner purchases struggling promotion. Bischoff becomes president of said struggling promotion. Bischoff and Turner are able to successfully compete with and take it straight to Vince McMahon, even if only for a short while. Thus, wrestling fans everywhere are happy, wrestling is able to take itself to new heights thought impossible and everyone wins. Ah, just a pipedream really. Too bad.

If we all chip in $20, can this forum buy TNA?

If this is true...i can see Viacom buying and maybe have Bischoff operate it. Like they bought Bellator and let the original owner continue to run it.
We think TNA's ratings suck, but they actually do well for a Spike program and is their rock on Thursday nights.
For some reason, i don't think Vince McMahon would be interested in buying TNA unless there were some guys on the roster he desperately wanted. I also don't think they would care for the library.

Turner lost a lot of his money in the AOL Timewarner deal as he was the biggest individual shareholder when the share price tanked. While he still owns a lot of land, and has a lot of money, I can't see him wasting it on a wrestling company without a TV network.

Seriously though, anyone would be an idiot to buy TNA at this point. There's no money to be made in it, TNA has been a proven money loser for it's entire existence. I don't expect anyone who buys it could change that fact.

I'd be fine with it. With one man at the helm, no committee members to appease and a background in marketing wrestling, you could do worse in a buyer. Think about th compromises you have to do when dealing with a committee that answer to the whims of a non-wrestling owner in Dixie Carter. Everybody will have their own favorite and everybody will have to get paid off. One guy runs the show than it is one way period. By proxy continuity is assured. Vince McMahon has made billions in wrestling doing things his way

I'd honestly trust Bischoff to turn things around for the better, so I'd be fine with it.

I will take Bisch running it over Vince getting it and furthering his strangle hold. Bisch is as ruthless as Vince is...so I can see him getting it and immediately snagging up talent like Ziggler the very first chance he gets. With whose cash? Ruthless is nice, sure, but aggression without teeth is just a whole lot of gumming.
