And Big Show's part is stupid too. He comes into an arena in a truck. What does he do with it? Does he tear down the set? Is there a vat of beer, milk, elephant piss or Nickelodeon slime inside the truck that he will spray all over the bad guys with a hose? Does he run over a nice car? Nope. He arrives merely to distract Randy Orton so Bryan can hit him with the knee. That's it. No trip to the fireworks factory. Nothing. Big Show probably skipped that lecture at Wichita State.

I hate it when someone wins a title, gets stripped, and wins it right back. Screws up the overall title count. Yeah, it's better to win a title, immediately lose a title, win it back a month later, have it vacated, then have the person who won it off you initially win it back again. So even if Bryan did win the title again (I doubt he will), that means at least 2 more months against Orton.

So even if Bryan did win the title again (I doubt he will), that means at least 2 more months against Orton. Here's what I'm hoping happens: Tomorrow night on Raw, HHH announces that Bryan has had too many title shots, and in the interest of what's best for business, is not eligible for a rematch. Orton does the next few ppv's against someone new (fill in who you want; maybe have Team Bryan vs. Team Orton at Survivor Series in the meantime). However, Bryan does qualify for a spot in the Royal Rumble, and ends up winning. He goes on to win the title at Wrestlemania, giving him the blowoff victory, and we can start his real run. Think back to the Attitude Era. People were very impatient to have Austin win the title in 1997, but I think as popular as he was, waiting until the next year's Mania really helped vault him into mega-stardom, as he won on the biggest stage, in a manner where the torch was passed. Same thing can happen now.

I almost want to go back and quote a few people who were CONVINCED that WWE was going to do the right thing with Bryan, even after the abortion finish at Summerslam. As soon as he "held" the WWE title, I knew that was all we were essentially going to get. But some people here...they remained positive about the stupid finish, even defending it. I don't know why. I genuinely liked Summerslam's finish. It made perfect sense, was well-executed, and was a promising start. It added depth to every character and established all villains in a convincing fashion. That's why I'd still defend that PPV right now if you want me to, on the very same basis: it was a very good start. Now, it led straight to hell, true, but worrying about tonight back in Summerslam would not have changed tonight at all, it would just have stopped me from enjoying what I saw then. I still think, personally, that Summerslam was great storytelling wise. Now, did it raise all sorts of red flags based on their history with that type of story? Yeeeeeeah, and it turned out like those flags indicated. But honestly, I really enjoyed Summerslam. I just didn't enjoy literally everything that came after it.

Even when Austin lost 9/10 he'd still kick some ass and drink some beers, there's no reason to celebrate the endings of these current PPV's other than that they're over. You aren't kidding. I was happy when the PPV ended so I could flip back over to SNF.

There's no fun in this angle. It's just all smarky political crap. At least Vince McMahon was entertaining, and Austin was allowed to constantly kick ass like a badass despite getting screwed over. The only guy who's really been allowed to shine in this thing is the f***ing Big Show of all people. You know, "Smarky political crap" sums up why I'm hating this angle. It's the same reason why I hated Rock and Cena pseudo-shooting on each other. It's like I have "I have no reason to care about what the actors feel. I care about the characters. Stop telling me about the actors. What idiot swapped the behind-the-scenes disc for the one with the actual movie?"

I thought the story was fine until Big Show got involved. Had it just been Bryan/Orton/HHH, it could still be really good.

Isn't the money in the babyface chasing for the title?
Maybe...just maybe...Daniel Bryan wins the Rumble and gets his "WrestleMania" moment by winning the title in the main event of WM 30.

I see nothing wrrng with this as long as it leads to Cena unifying the belts and jobbing the unified title to Bryan later. NOT. GOING. TO. HAPPEN. Seriously. If they wanted Bryan to be the man, he'd be the man right now. They're not just saving it up for a bigger specialer moment.

Is the conclusion of every major storyline going to be pushed out until Wrestlemania then? Because if that's the case, it sets a really awful precedent for those few times of the year where it ISN'T Wrestlemania season. And, yeah. None of this is surprising.

Let's be real here, though. The last time someone had a big, climactic title win at a WrestleMania was 22, where Mysterio won the title in a ten minute match that played second fiddle to pissing the crowd off by way of Cena retaining when no one in that building wanted him to. WWE doesn't see Mania as a place to make new stars, they see it as a place for the old guard to do the same shit again and again.

WWE is so determined to be #1 they won't even let TNA have the worst PPV.

I love how, after three months, we're right back to where we were the night after Summerslam: Orton is champ, Bryan got screwed by the referee, who is a member of DX.
It wouldn't surprise me to learn this is WWE resetting now that Cena is back, so that they can go where they wanted to go with the storyline in the first place.

I'd go RVD or Jericho personally. Sting got his moments of glory when fans were wanting them usually (outside of Starrcade 97), Bryan, much like RVD and Jericho just keeps having his moments ripped from him and the fans. He'll also be the guy they go back to every few years when their inability to create people forces them to rely on nostalgia again in the next decade.

Even when Austin lost 9/10 he'd still kick some ass and drink some beers, there's no reason to celebrate the endings of these current PPV's other than that they're over. I think people are conflating episodes of Raw in between pay-per-views with the pay-per-views themselves. - Austin loses the title to Kane and the Undertaker at Breakdown. - the next night Austin attacks Vince McMahon with a zamboni. - Austin is fired after declaring Kane vs. the Undertaker a no-contest at No Mercy. - the next night Austin makes Vince McMahon piss his pants. - Austin is screwed by Shane McMahon at the Survivor Series where the Rock wins the WWF title. - Austin has a title match against the Rock but gets hit with a shovel by the Undertaker. - Austin beats the Undertaker in a Buried Alive Match to earn a spot in the Royal Rumble. - Austin helps Mick Foley beat the Rock for the WWF title. - Austin is eliminated from the Royal Rumble by its winner, Vince McMahon. - Austin and McMahon have an epic face-off on Raw in Toronto. - Austin beats up Vince McMahon in a cage match to earn the right to face the WWF champion at Wrestlemania. - Austin wins the WWF title at Wrestlemania by beating the Rock. Yeah, lots of these moments had Austin celebrating with middle fingers and cans of beer, but the first three months of Austin screwing McMahon out of the title, as far as pay-per-view goes, all ended on downers. It's more a testament to how quality Raw was at the time that Austin, McMahon, the Undertaker, the Rock, Mick Foley, and others were able to keep the ball up in the air and keep fans entertained by the product. That's something today's era, despite the talent, just doesn't have.

Isn't the money in the babyface chasing for the title? Maybe...just maybe...Daniel Bryan wins the Rumble and gets his "WrestleMania" moment by winning the title in the main event of WM 30. Yes, but Bryan's already a two-time WWE champion. Fans have blown their load, so to speak, for the same thing twice, only to have it taken away shortly thereafter. Add on top of that ways to make the momentum of the mega-hot, mega-over babyface cool off given WWE's TV programming since Summerslam, it's a recipe for knocking someone down a beg, meaning that fans won't be as hot for a title win given that the hero's already ran into a couple of hurdles that have stumbled the entire angle. Why care about a Bryan win when: a) it's just going to be taken away again, b) it's not as special the third time we've seen it, and c) all the hours of TV in between PPV matches make me not want to spend money on the idea of a Bryan WWE title win in the first place. Sadly, Bryan's Summerslam win will probably be his peak. Imagine if Vince McMahon the night after Austin's first WWF title win simply went, 'nope, nope, can't have that', and took the title away? It's awe-inspiring in its stupidity. It's the babyface chase turned on its head, simply put.

Yeeeeeeah, and it turned out like those flags indicated. But honestly, I really enjoyed Summerslam. I just didn't enjoy literally everything that came after it. Summerslam was a fairly good PPV. But that was Bryan's big moment. It WON'T get bigger than that, even if it was at Wrestlemania, especially since he's won the title twice now. All I knew was that if they couldn't even wait a short time to f*** Bryan over, that it wasn't going to get better. I've learned. I know WWE better than it knows itself. It's a pathetic cliche at this point. So the ending to the match made me realize that they had absolutely no long term goal for Bryan to be champion. And they've proven me right. The only thing that could make it better is if they abruptly drop the title feud tomorrow. Bryan seriously needs to move on, even if it is to lower tier stuff. Sorry Daniel, I don't blame you, but WWE has made you a broken record at this point, so you need to escape the spotlight and plan your next move, because it certainly isn't going to be a pretty one if you continue to move in the same direction. Here's what I'm hoping happens: Tomorrow night on Raw, HHH announces that Bryan has had too many title shots, and in the interest of what's best for business, is not eligible for a rematch. Same thing can happen now. Sorry, but I cannot possibly fathom this thing carrying on till Wrestlemania. That's far far far too long. Not only that, it still doesn't mean shit, because every single fan will still be waiting for Triple H to yet again pull the carpet from underneath him again. They shit the bed. If they can't get this done in 4 months. They fail. Also..."Wrestlemania moments" are dead. You won't be seeing that anytime soon. Maybe...just maybe...Daniel Bryan wins the Rumble and gets his "WrestleMania" moment by winning the title in the main event of WM 30. I don't know how to tell you this but *sigh*....it's just not going to work. I know you saw us together forever with 6 kids and a white picket fence and a backyard that stretched for miles and miles. And a champion thoroughbred pony. But...that's just not going to happen. We're going to go our separate ways...and still be hanging out in dive single bars until we're 50.

Lame ending to Bryan/Orton. Now I'm beginning to lose hope DB Will get his mania moment I'll lol if his Mania moment is like Sheamus', showing he can give HHH a good fight but comes just a little short in the end. I'd laugh harder if it was DB's version of 18 Seconds, only with HHH (or Randy) losing in that amount of time to The Move That Beat John Cena.
