LOL worst sell ever. He said "hit" the finisher, not a glacing blow as he spins out of the way. I laughed at how obviously Triple H set himself up for this move. He spent a good minute checking on Shawn in the corner, never looking away from Shawn when he suddenly decided to quickly stand up, turn around, and march headfirst towards the center of the ring. But anyway, I'll take up OP on his wager because why not. Bryan could win the title at Mania, but then again he could not. He'll certainly have a big moment, but there's going to be plenty of other big names on the card to compete with for that spot. There's also the potential for injuries and stuff. Nothing's guaranteed, but I like Bryan's chances to win the title on or after WM.

I'll take the wager.
I've said since the night after Summerslam that Bryan this storyline ends with Bryan winning the title at Wrestlemania.
I was surprised that they had Bryan win at Night of Champions but I guess that was to show that he could win the title, rather than showing that he's always going to be the nearly man.
But they have to string the story out for months, and you can only so many Orton v Bryan matches (to my mind we've had seven in four months, including on Raw/Smackdown).
But here's how I expect it to go:
Big Show gets reinstated. Big Show beats Orton for the title at Survivor Series Orton loses rematch for title at TLC HHH realises that as Orton can't get the job done (in this storyline Orton's only wins have come after a pedigree and sweet chin music), he's going to have to do the job himself. (Or they get the real face of the company to turn heel) HHH beats Big Show at the Rumble Bryan wins the Rumble HHH makes Bryan put his title shot on the line at Elimination Chamber, but Bryan comes through Bryan beats HHH at Mania
The only thing that I can see that can derail this, is that they want to know that Bryan can draw a reaction away from the Authority storyline. Bryan's had a good slow burn in terms of push, but in terms of getting over, he seemed to go from over to super-over almost overnight round about June time, to the point where you could make a genuine case that Bryan could overtake Cena as the top face over the next year. But can he maintain that away from the Authority storyline?
Otherwise how does the story go? Big Show and Cody Rhodes get a couple of shots, and the story fizzles out at Royal Rumble time? No way, this is too big to be anything but a Wrestlemania-ending storyline.
Besides, he's going to be alongside CM Punk at Survivor Series. That's hardly burial material.

I'll accept, but on your side of the equation. I'll wager you that Arkansas won't win an SEC game this season.

wallabylikeyou, hossfan, and Kevin Hamilton can all pull out without being labeled a fraud/phony due to the rules of the wager changing since they joined in. Who else will enter the coliseum? I never pull out early, I stay in till the climax* *A lot funnier if you read it as Val Venis.

Just out of curiosity, if Bryan wins the title "clean" -- and is stripped by the Authority again or HHH/Steph/whoever for some heel reason declares the result nul and void AFTER he has won, then that would count as the OP losing the bet, right?
I know it would also count as terrible booking, but that's beside the point.

If I don't participate in the wager, I'm not confident he will win at Wrestlemania? That is absurd, I'm not taking part because it's a bet over something silly. Also, I don't care at all for the belittling of people who think the main event angle is still fine, and being lumped together as the "Wait and see!" crew. That's just as bad as certain people here calling the IWC out together as some hivemind.
I don't approve of that mindset, and this thread has provided proof of it. Come Wrestlemania, I'm sure this thread will be very entertaining to watch no matter what "side" wins. But you can keep your bets, I'm still not in.
There's plenty of local casinos in my area if I truly feel like gambling anyway.

At least what you're almost agreeing to here is, that at Mania things will pay off. Wrestlemania is the endgame. So, by Wrestlemania, if WWE don't do execute the plans that the enthusiasts claim that they will...I think it might be best to not say anything at that point that would otherwise be misinterpreted as "wait and see". If anything, I'll at least hold you to this. Otherwise, not providing a "finish" anytime within the next 5 months will seem incredibly lame.

I thought HHH was retired in the ring thanks to his match with Brock, but I made a mistake not remembering his match with Axel. I thought Immortal would have to adjust the wager. But he doesn't. Then I said I wasn't betting to clarify my position, after stating I think Bryan will win. That's all.

All I'm saying is; if Bryan doesn't get the payoff at Mania that some people are insisting that he'll be getting, then there's absolutely no reason to make excuses for WWE at that point.

I didn't realize how this thing was working. I thought it was Magiconz vs. The World, but it seems we can join either side.
I'm in, on Magiconz's side.

Alright, I'm on Team Magiconz. I think splitting it into team YES and team NO would be fitting.

I'll take the bet, why not? I'm totally for him winning the title and/or beating Trips clean by that date. I think it'll happen.
