There's been discussion of some of the heel things Lawler and Piper did back in the day that were racially insensitive to say the least, but what about more recently?

Dear god, I forgot about this one. It cracks my shit up every time, but I don't know how Vince possibly thought it was a good idea for any reason.

Dear god, I forgot about this one. It cracks my shit up every time, but I don't know how Vince possibly thought it was a good idea for any reason. Well, at the very least, there was a self-awareness surrounding this. While I'm never in favor of caucazoids dropping the n-bomb unless absolutely necessary for quotation or in an entertainment scenario that absolutely requires it, this particular instance was framed in a way where the joke was Vince is so completely out of touch that he thinks saying such a thing is OK, with the joke further being punctuated by panning to Booker saying "tell me he didn't just say that." They totally knew what they were doing with this. I see the more unaware moments like Kurt Angle's freudian slip of saying "bestiality sex" when he meant to say "bestial sex," Steve Austin in full redneck mode on a 4X4 chasing Teddy Long in 2003, Vince asking Paul Heyman out of nowhere "do I need to say it in Yiddish," Triple H telling Booker T that his "kind" weren't meant to hold the world belt and then going over as despite being the heel in a race angle, etc., far worse as the joke or point they tried to make for entertainment purposes is miles removed from how the televised moment actually came off.

Don't forget that Triple H also saw Booker T in the bathroom, gave him a dollar and said "get me a towel".

This gets my vote. Using race to get heat is one thing, a complex issue in of itself, but then booking the face to lose the feud and thus apparently prove everything the racist was saying as being "right" is just mind bogglingly bad.

The rather disturbing date rape implications of the Winter/Angelina Love storyline in TNA has to be one of the biggest examples that simply went unnoticed due to the sheer amount of other nonsense also going on at the time.

Oh yeah, the mention of rape reminded me of the Kane/Lita saga. That was atrocious. Although maybe Lita only slept with Kane and was willing to have his child because of the implication.

The Muhammad Hassan gimmick was pretty loathsome, a Muslim guy who's a heel because he has the gall to object to being labelled a terrorist because of his ethnicity.

Lawler referred to Kane as the Big Red Retard at once point during Wrestlemania 2000. Even for the attitude era, that's harsh.
EDIT: Crap, that's over 10 years ago. Point still stands, though.

There was a Taliban tag team gimmick that called their moves things like the Box Cutter (diamond cutter).
