I was thinking the other day (not very hard, mind you) about the main event angles currently going. as it stands, they're pretty cookie-cutter and boring. and a big part of that is (of course) Triple H being too protective of himself. I thought "what if Trips was actually willing to let someone else pull one over on him"? and I thought, "why does it have to be a face?"
I thought about how the Wyatt family, cool as they are, are kinda toothless because there isn't much in PG a group like them could actually do. I thought to myself it'd be really cool if they turned on Triple H. here me out, this is the idea I had.
-Trips feels, because of internal dissent, the Shield aren't getting the job done. -he acknowledges he hired the Wyatt family to distract Bryan, and Punk getting distacted too is an added bonus -the Shield are incensed, and abandon him, turning face in the process -Trips gloats about how he doesn't need them because he's got the Wyatts now. -Trips finally has his match with Daniel Bryan, and loses -he gets the "na na na na" chants and looks miserable because he lost. the Wyatts then kidnap him, in his moment of weakness, with the Shield no longer there to protect him -Bray reveals he'd been driving the wedge between Trips and the Shield all along. he doesn't care about Daniel Bryan, Triple H makes a better target anyways. he and the Wyatts abscond with Trips and he isn't seen for a while. -when he's seen again, he's been broken Theon Greyjoy-Style and the Wyatts parade around "Hunter" like some sort of depraved trophy. from here I'd lead to an eventual face-turn where Trips finally gets away from the Wyatts with the help of some babyface (Daniel Bryan, for instance, for Irony's sake). helps put a face over, and lets the Wyatts finally actually do something big.

No offense to the OP but why does every single IWC booking angle involve a kidnapping?

20 years ago, Aksana and Lana were rivals in the Lithuanian orphanage. Lana stole a loaf of bread from the nuns and Aksana got blamed. Aksana was beaten with shovels by the nuns and sold to a french human trafficker named Sylvester Lefort. Aksana later escapes Lefort, joins the wwe, became a US citizen.
Lana is jealous of Aksana's success and vows bring her down. Lefort is still angry about Aksana's escape and also vows revenge. So the two decide to work together to bring her down.
I guess this will lead to Lana and Lefort vs. Aksana and somebody @ WM 31.

No offense to the OP but why does every single IWC booking angle involve a kidnapping? y'know, I'd never thought about that. I guess it's a great way for a character to disappear for a while and come back with an altered gimmick. in my case it actually makes thematic sense, though.

Personally, I have never liked kidnapping angles. That's when the suspension of belief is too much. They involve cops in wrestling sometimes, especially during the Austin/McMahon story, and kidnappings are something where they'd get the authorities involved but never do. The Sammoa Joe one was terrible, Taker abducting Teddy, Kane abducting Rey, Wyatts with Kane, etc. They're always silly and never amount to anything.

I have no idea how it could work at all, but I'd mark for a Death Note angle.

New Nation of Byron Scott, Kofi, JTG, Mark Henry, R-Truth, and David Otunga I get that attracting the casual fans is key, but wouldn't having an NBA coach in there be too much?

I posted this in another thread a while back, I think it's a winner...
Tensai is exposed to a huge dose of radiation and grows to 100ft tall. Brodus Clay and the Funkadactyls still want to be his friends, but Tensai is ashamed of the beast he's become and destroys a few Japanese cities. Brodus gets into a feud with the Real Americans based on Zeb Colter's sudden hatred of kaiju. Brodus can handily defeat both Cesaro and Swagger in singles matches, but falls to them in handicap matches. A tag match is signed between Tons of Funk and the Real Americans, but Brodus can't reason with the raging beast that is Tensai, and has to go in alone. When all appears lost for Brodus, clouds of dust and chunks of concrete fall from high above, and a giant hand descends. Brodus makes the tag to the hand and rushes from the ring, pulling the Funkadactyls and the referee away with him. As the hand disappears, a giant boot comes crashing down, crushing the ring, and presumably the Real Americans. The referee counts the 3. Brodus looks up, smiling and giving the thumbs up. We see Tensai looking through the hole in the arena roof, smiling and giving the thumbs up back. Next week Tensai is back to normal size having been given an antidote by Papa Shango, but the Real Americans are in full body casts. The following week they're fine again.

No offense to the OP but why does every single IWC booking angle involve a kidnapping? I remember a time when every since IWC booking angle involved either a Montreal Screwjob rehash or the debut of the NEW NATION. Or both.

It's funny how a lot of those angles have started coming true. D-Bry has got the screwjob, Kane is in a suit, so it wouldn't surprise me if there was a new nation by the end of the year.

third Undertaker brother
fluke lowercard WWE champion
actual Civil War storyline within the company
Wyatt clan grows in size to ten people, ocmplete with Wyatized versions of gimmicks
new McMahon power figure takes over company
return of Hideous Cody, but this time he ends up wearing the Mankind Mask, new Mankind
Return of totally evil, ranting, bald sociopathic orton
Heel John Cena who still identifies as a face and vicious beats people like Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, the Rhodes and kisses Triple H's ass constantly while still talking about all the same stuff and playing the same character
Final Triple H storyline that encompasses everything he's been through as a character and focuses on the key tenants of the character (tenacity, insecurity, narcissism, cowardice) to set him up once and for all to be retired by a young guy, and includes goodbye type segments/promos/matches/etcetera with Jericho, Stephanie, Vince, Flair, Batista, Orton, HBK, The Rock, Cena, the NAO, Foley, and Kane that closes the book on each of the relationships.
A new heel character who wears the Kane Mask
a wrestler whose gimmick is that they collect other people's finishers
an evil WCW return

Corporate Kane goes along with Triple H and The Authority. Eventually, after Orton wins his feud with Big Show, and WWE finally leaves that weird period from Summerslam 2013 to Survivor Series 2013, Daniel Bryan returns, attacks Orton, and one-ups Triple H, before HHH barely escapes the running knee. With Bryan being the bad ass character he should've been the entire time, Kane goes in the ring and faces off with Bryan. All of a sudden, he gets a mic, and says that WWE is under new management now, and that the small ember of WWE for the past few months will turn into a strong fire, with the help of some flare. As Bryan thinks Kane is in charge, all of a sudden..........
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Ric Flair comes out and announces him and Kane pitched in to buy out Triple H and Steph's shares of the WWE during a loophole exposed while they were trying to protect their assets in case Big Show sued them, and with that, JBL walks off of commentary after being fed up, while Michael Cole tries to make Kane tell JBL to stay, when he is promptly chokeslammed and is stretchered away. As Cole is taken by the medical staff, Flair laughingly tells him that he's already found his replacement. JR comes out, returns to commentary, as Kane and Bryan "Yes!" with each other, while Flair takes off his suit and struts in his underwear. JR welcomes us to Raw, and all is well again.

Serious gay wrestler. Darren Young is too goofy and doesn't wear a suit or MMA gear.
