Other: The WWE itself. DID YOU KNOW? The WWE kisses its own ass more than the NFL, CFL, and English Premiere League COMBINED!!!11! DID YOU KNOW? The WWE has more Facebook friends than Jesus H. Christ, Ghandi, and CNN! DID YOU KNOW? Last Thursday between the hours of 7pm and 7:12pm, the WWE sold more sheep masks than the last Tea Party convention! DID YOU KNOW? Someone gets paid to write that crap. Source: Trendrr.com Okay post of the year candidate! When did WWE kiss Bruno Sammartino's ass? They barely ever acknowledged his existence for like three decades and they finally got him inducted in the WWE HOF at the perfect time in MSG. He was finally getting acknowledged as one of the most important wrestlers in WWE history and got some video packages at last when he never had any before. Plus he only made one WWE Raw appearance with the home crowd wishing him a happy birthday. It wasn't even televised. It was on the App itself. I would love to see Bruno be part of a memorable televised segment on Raw.

I apologize for the intervention, I just overheard the conversation and I know it's not my place to say, but I think you might just be an ass man.

I disagree with the majority of that list but Bruno sticks out like a sore thumb. The other ones i can get why some people might believe that but Bruno? Man deserves twelve times the recognition he got. The only times he got mentioned prior to his HoF induction was to point out that there were superstar wrestlers before Hogan when he was on the outs with them.
Trips and Micheals should win this easily.
I love HBK but despite WWE revisionism the Rockers were merely a good tag team in an era of great tag teams, and DX took off the day after he left the WWF and NAO and Pac joined the group.
The praise Trips gets is so ridiculous that it diminishes his actual accomplishments.

Andre The Giant - Not because he doesn't deserve to be regarded as a legend, but rather because they use him as a substitute for Hogan. They can't bring themselves to praise Hogan as their all time greatest legend, so Andre gets shoehorned into the role. It's kinda ridiculous. I couldn't have said this any better. This was especially prevalent during the Attitude era, when all of their biggest names from the past were either in WCW or on the outs with the company. Not to discount their legacy, but during that time, you'd think that the biggest stars WWF ever had were Andre, Ernie Ladd, Fred Blassie, Jimmy Snuka, and Lou Albano.

I'd say Trish. I mean, Rock gets his ass kissed more, but he's exponentially more important to the wrestling business (and to WWE's success) than Trish was, and outside of wrestling is an even more exponentially more popular than Trish, so proportionally, it's not bad at all. There's nobody WWE has who's like Rock, who puts in a good word for them, never hides his past, and has serious crossover success. Them showing homage to him is paying respect to a legend in his own time because he's done what no wrestlers from any era were ever able to accomplish.
Trish's accomplishments as a female wrestler aren't even particularly noteworthy. Sure, she held the title longer than anyone else when she was around, but that's really not by her own merit or anything. The last couple times she's showed up on TV, there's not been that much fanfare, and towards the end of her run, fans were happy to see Mickie take the title from her. Trish was by no means bad, but she wasn't that good, and certainly nowhere near as important or influential as Rocky.

This. Dude's like a 7.5 that was treated like a 12 for years on account of his being an unofficial McMahon. I like Trips, but he didn't make himself. They shoved him through the roof.

The Rock, no one else had a completely terrible episode of Raw devoted to their birthday And a completely horrible waste of 15 minute concert where Pitbull sang of his love for tacos while Rock stood in the ring with a crap-eating grin on his face. Go see GI Joe 2!

That birthday episode for the Rock has been seared into my brain.
While everyone there is given way too much credit, the Rock is easily one of the most overrated stars they have had.
Do not misunderstand me though because I think he was good for his time, but the way they treat him as some kind of God is disgusting.
I was never a big fan of Steve Austin, but I found myself having a fonder memory of him on top because the company does not shove the guy down everyones throats the same way.

Go see GI Joe 2! Yeah, Rock got a RAW dedicated to him, complete with concert and a corny-ass "Welcome home, Rock" from Vince sounding like he was on the verge of tears, on top of getting a WrestleMania he didn't even compete in dedicated to him, for the sole purpose of positioning him to main event WrestleMania the year after. So, yeah, Rock by Tennessee mile. Complete with crackheads and everything.

Of the Divas, I'd say that McCool could give Trish a run for her money in that aspect in terms of "pedestal" treatment.
Triple H and even Taker get the treatment. The former doesn't really deserve it that much, the later a little bit more deserving but not by much.
Consider the amount of money generated by them, Austin, Rock, and even to a lesser extent Cena deserve it.
