To have a good match? Plus not like Swaggie is hurt by the lost.

Hey man, Cena didn't ask for the match. Blame that Maddox character.

I guess to create some doubt that Cena might actually lose. It was good, but I always have a problem with 1 guy beating 2.

Don't know. Didn't get to see Cesaro use the Giant Swing on Cena though, so I'm kinda bummed about that.

To show an established tag team is never as good as one main eventer.

I'm more shocked that people are shocked that this happens.

Because the creative team enjoys coming on to message boards to read topics like these.

I don't think Andre was defeating Big John Studd and King Kong Bundy two on one though. And no, I'm not really shocked, though considering WWE did just put the Real Americans over the Rhodes brothers recently and with all of the momentum Cesaro has, I didn't see any point in using them to remind us that Cena = strong, tough, brave.

Because after eight years of it WWE still hasn't grasped that making Cena even more invincible is not going to make him any more popular.

I remember when the Dudley Boys faced off with the Rock & how the Rock just beat them bo ... wait ... The Dudley Boys won. An established team should always win against an individual - no matter how good that individual is. I do love how on European tours Cena puts Cesaro over for the hell of it, but on TV all he does is make fun of the size of his nipples & beat him.
It's nothing against Cena, just stupid booking.

Actually, considering the Cena boos get worse every time he's coming off a face/face feud against some guy who gets to parrot smark talking points about him being a corporate sellout, just letting him steamroll over midcard heels probably will lead to less negative reactions.

I guess "always" was the wrong word. It's acceptable in some instances, a giant like Andre being one of them. But Swagger and Cesaro are the same size as Cena, just as athletic, etc. Cena doesn't need to be booked as better than 2 guys, imo. I think he'd function better if he shifted the balance more towards everyman than superman.

Because Cena has a match at the PPV and the Real Americans are doing a whole lot of nothing?

The Real Americans beat the tag team champions recently so really when you look at it things are a bit ridiculous. I don't have a problem with wrestlers beating 2 guys if it makes sense. Hypothetically like Big Show, that would be believable but 2 guys like Swagger and Cesaro who beat the tag champions, it looks bad even if it is Cena. Orton ran from the tag champs tonight. I don't know it's just weird booking. It should have been Cena against a lesser team.
Then again it's John Cena we're talking about so no one should be surprised. This has been happening for years. This is a man who almost beat the Shield alone had they not had a DQ.

Two things:
- Cesaro has a bit of momentum, but it isn't as if he's in such a delicate position to where he must be protected against the kayfabed most powerful guy in the company, and one of the most kayfabed powerful superstars ever. Dude's a loooooooooong way from being in any sort of "make or break" spot.
- I'll have to side with rnrk here. While keeping Cena out of the big time angles and having him pummel midcard villains probably won't convert all of his detractors, it sure as heck won't earn him any more considering that he's not "hogging the spotlight" from rising talent. As of now he's just that guy that comes out, hypes up the crowd and competes with Bryan for MOTN.

Because he's the top guy. And top guys are supposed to be booked strong.
