Some of you guys are upset Cena beat two guys. Did you forget that once upon a time Cena and Orton defeated the ENTIRE RAW ROSTER? That was 16+ people total. So, you know... two is a cakewalk.

Wasn't that by DQ though? Like they beat 3 or 4 before the roster finally realized they outnumbered them by a lot and jumped them?

Two phenomenal athletes, a bad dude outside the ring to cause a distraction, and he recently had his deformed siamese twin brother removed from his elbow. Sometimes it's okay to lose, John.

Because it's WWE's way of letting it be known that Cena = Superman.
I have no doubt he will always be the number one guy, pushed above all others. Whether it's good or bad for the company, until he either chooses to retire or has a career-ending injury like Edge did.
I'm not a Cena-hater (I usually enjoy his PPV matches), but sometimes shit like this just gets to be too much...

Because he's the top guy. And top guys are supposed to be booked strong. Cena has long passed just being booked strong.

Ask Carlito, Swagger, Tensai, Sheamus, and Axel how well beating Cena early in their careers worked out for them.
Ceasaro has only been on the main roster for a year, and is still in a hot act with Real Americans. He's not going to lose all of his momentum just because Cena pinned his tag team partner.

But they should still be protected. Have Coulter cause a DQ or something. It's like when he beat Sandow by insisting on a pin instead of a count out. It's too much.

Again, he's not going to lose any momentum. And more than likely Real Americans will beat the next few teams they face.

Because Real Americans beating him would do what? Then they realistically should get in the world title picture.

Because Real Americans beating him would do what? Then they realistically should get in the world title picture. Or maybe WWE shouldn't have booked one of their best tag teams in a handi-cap match against Cena to begin with? If they must book a tag team in that manner, it should be someone like 3MB where they're glorified jobbers anyway.

I see your point, but I counter with a point that everyone would know Cena was going to win if he faced 3MB. The Real Americans are a threat. Tag teams can lose to main eventers IMO without losing ground in their division. Remember when Edge and Christian would lose to Rock and Undertaker? The Dudleyz lost a handicap match to Undertaker.

Because Real Americans beating him would do what? Then they realistically should get in the world title picture. Paint them as a dominant tag team? You know, 'cause they're getting the Tag Title shot at Survivor Series? The fact that there's people who don't understand how silly and counterproductive this kind of booking is baffles me. Cena has a World Title defense at Sur Ser. Real Americans have a Tag Title shot. They both need to be kept strong. So here's the solution: DON'T HAVE THEM WRESTLE. Have Cena kill McGillihennig or something, and Real Americans beat Los Matadores or whoever. You'd think WWE would remember how to book. They only have 50 years experience at it, after all. Jesus. This company.

Referencing the bolded part... then you run into the problem of weakening one of your titleholders for no reason (as well as the increasingly overused "Champion v Champion" draw), and HE needs to be kept strong for whatever feud he gets in that might involve his championship. So we're back at square one in a way. Things would be so much easier if they could get away with filling TV time with jobber squashes of actual local jobbers so everyone on the roster looks strong, but that cat is LONG out of the bag now. (Of course, there's always the possibility that you forgot that Axel is still IC Champ, like he has been for nearly 5 months now... easy mistake to make)

And now one guy beat them, even if it is John Cena. So how does that make Goldust & Cody look good either? Why book that match? At all? What's the point, where you could accomplish the same result, Cena looking strong, without harming guys who are the number one contenders to the tag belts? Why should we think any of these guys are stars now? Isn't WWE just cementing that there is indeed a pecking order? (Even if there is one, no one should be treated as a b-player on camera.). It's ass backwards booking. It's ramming dudes against the glass ceiling, and then when you want to push them, wondering why it's harder. That they expect us to pay $40+ plus for. For matches rendered impotent by shit booking. Cena has a World Title defense at Sur Ser. Real Americans have a Tag Title shot. They both need to be kept strong. I concede to your point. Axel, as much as he seems to be floundering, should be booked strong, too, so when Big E (potentially) beats him, it makes Langston's win seem more important. I should have remembered that he was IC Champ since I think I'm his only fan here, haha.

Funnily enough, my memory is just of them cleaning house with those rapid RKO's and AA's.

They're trying to rebuild the worth of the World Championship belt, so having Cena obliterate everything accomplishes that?
Its so stupid it hurts, but get used to it.

They're building up to Survivor Series, they had this handicap match theme and wanted to continue it, they wanted Uncle Zeb to cut a good promo on the people in Manchester, they felt they could beat Swagger because they're likely pushing Cesaro, they wanted Cesaro and Cena in the ring together but not beat Cesaro yet.
