Whether or not "Wait and See" works depends on whether or not you like where the angle ends up, so it's strictly a matter of opinion on whether or not it works at all. And if it didn't end with John Cena retiring, CM Punk in the HOF and Daniel Bryan Channing his name back to the American Dragon and winning all titles at once, the internet would not like it.

He tapped out to Lesnar, and Lesnar won their feud. Just because HHH fought back and didn't get railroaded like Cena doesn't meant he didn't put him over in the end. People were whining that HHH wouldn't even be pinned by Brock. And Sheamus still didn't look bad in his match either. Come on. HHH did more damage to Brock's drawing power and aura than just about anything. He sucked the specialness right out of the character. Like he kind of does to everything he touches. I can't remember the last time the addition of HHH made anything better. Maybe vs. Batista, but that was almost 9 years ago.Hey that's unfair.....his feud with Flair in 2005 was pretty good.

The sheer fact that John Cena got the shit beat out of him by Lesnar while Triple H went toe to toe with him says it all. Sure, Lesnar won the feud...once people were begging for it to end, and with help from Paul Heyman. He was booked like any old regular heel in that feud.

And also it might be worth pointing out that in the third match, the match that puts Lesnar as winning the feud, he spends most of it crawling around like a helpless baby. Because that's how powerful HHH is. HHH has a large penis. Brock's tattoo is actually a 1:2 scale tribute to HHH's penis. That's how big it is.

I'd say Team Hell No. I remember a lot of people being upset and saying that it was sticking Bryan in a bad situation with the comedy skits and saying it was gonna be another in a long series of bad angles for Kane, but both guys made chicken salad out of that and that team was arguably one of the great highlights for WWE over the past 2 years and they proved to be pretty pivotal in regards to getting The Shield over. Heck, you can also add in the YES! chants to this. Some people still argue he's only over because of them, which is malarkey. I think the thing that got Bryan more over than anything else was losing to Sheamus in 10 seconds at Wrestlemania. That's when fans started chanting for him in random segments. And the WWE maybe tried to use that same dynamic and draw it out vs. the Authority, and it certainly helped KEEP Bryan over, but, it's not quite the same when it's not done by accident. And it risks bringing that anti-corporate cynicism to the portion of the fanbase who haven't acquired it naturally yet.

To me, it's pretty much impossible to be optimistic about anything regarding the WWE now. In the end, their summer storylines fade out, anyone who gets to the top gets their knees cut out and the focus goes back all to John Cena again, each WrestleMania seems less impressive, Triple H makes himself out to the greatest wrestler ever, the mid-card is a bottomless pit and the whole thing just goes on and on.

Also, the Anger Management skits. People crapped all over it when they thought it was going to be an unfunny, terrible skit involving Charlie Sheen. Instead, it got what had to have been Kane's best run as a face in years and is also responsible for getting Bryan more over with the casuals in the crowd. It was also the best series of comedy skits WWE had done in years. I honestly hope whoever was responsible for those skits is still on Creative, and that they get do more of those someday. We never did figure out who specifically came up with them. It was the opposite for me. I enjoyed the Anger Management segments, but hated most of Hell No's run as a tag team.

I think a decent one would be Punk as WWE champ not main eventing PPVs initially. Cue the heel turn and boom.

Jericho/Michaels from 2008 might be an example. It started off pretty rocky, but became good towards the later half. I think it totally counts. People were responded pretty negatively to Chris Jericho's return because, after the initial hype, it stalled pretty bad. By the end, thanks largely to that feud, it was arguably better than his first run--in terms of his importance.

Somewhere, there's a person who really enjoyed CM Punk vs The Authority (the infant version of the Authority at least), somehow turning into Kevin Nash vs Triple in a ladder match for a sledgehammer in 2011.
A weird person, but a person nontheless.

Mark Henry. People cried foul over him never changing and getting into a boring feud with Big Show. Then, Big Show made fun of Henry by cutting a promo about how people are waiting to see something different from him for 15 years. Then Mark Henry opened up his Hall of Pain.
