I say its because Vince is dummying down the commentators so that they appeal to kids only and in essence it makes them intolerable to anyone over the age of 15, which if you have seen what can and cant be said on air from another thread this is a very distinct possibility since going to PG Lawler has gone from tolerable to get him off commentary, Michael Cole is Michael Cole, but the biggest change is JBL IMO going from maybe the best commentator on the team to probably the most annoying of the bunch and IMO its because Vince wants it that way but in the end Vince is driving people away instead of gaining viewers by making the commentators do that.

It's all JBL's fault
He's just trying to be JBL instead of calling matches and it's extremely annoying. Him saying "What's up!" during R-Truth's entrance, aka the part the crowd's supposed to say, annoys me every single week

Commentary is fine. JBL is fantastic. Cole has gotten so much better from his heel days. Lawler is Lawler but his time to talk has been cut down with the addition of a third person.

I like all 3 of them, especially Jerry.

They're annoying, but until it reaches Heel Cole levels of grating, they don't actively detract from the show for me/I can just tune em out.

They frustrate me with their tangents, and confuse people who've never seen it before.

They talked up the matches plenty of times on RAW. Not everyone has to like something, but that doesn't mean exaggerating their dislike with hyperbolic nonsense is something I'm not going to call out. Cole towards the end of his heel run, Mike Adamle, Shane McMahon when he was commentating Sunday Night Heat, the numerous Superstars over the years who completely flopped when they do a guest commentator spot; there are PLENTY of worse commentary teams.
Cole, King, and JBL don't scratch the surface of that barrel of crud. And I say that as someone who has watched RAW since it first aired on USA.

They completely lose me every time they bring up one of their obscure references.

I hate to say it, but JBL is ruining almost all of the good things Cole has to say.
Cole will say something relevant to the matter at hand, or make some sort of slightly nuanced reference, and JBL has a conniption. He might as well go the full heel Cole route and just start shouting NERD NERD NERD NERD NERD over anything Cole says.

They sound like a bunch of fans laughing at everything they see instead of sounding like a professional sports commentating team. Any non-wrestling fan can watch today's WWE TV and say that anybody can be a WWE Commentator. I really miss 2006-2007 JBL and mid-90's King.

They're fine until they start arguing or when JBL's CD starts skipping.

They are shit, because it always sounds like they really aren't responding to what they see.
JR and King always sounded that way. Gorilla and Jesse/Brain did.
Cole is focused on plugging some bullshit, usually an app, company man JBL just runs through his "this product is GREAT" lines, and King quietly sits there occasionally getting a word in.

"What's Up" is the best thing about JBL. They're the best guys on commentary we have at the moment. There's no one else.

I think they're too into themselves and think they're a lot more witty/funny/entertaining than they are. JBL is really funny sometimes, other than that their little banter takes away from things.

They're all completely horrible at their jobs, though that's probably largely on Vince screaming in their ears the whole show.

They completely lose me every time they bring up one of their obscure references. I'd be fine with the obscure references if they came and went without incident. But every references gets a "How 'bout something from THIS DECADE?!" Which spirals into a Who-Can-Be-More-Hip contest. When NONE OF THESE GUYS ARE HIP. They're all over 40 and so totally not cool. Stop talking about f***ing twerking and explain what this match means for Tyson Kidd!
