There. I said it. Make all of the CATCH_US/MIZ jokes you'd like, but I really mean it. With his [sort of] heel turn, I began to recollect a time where The Miz had an uber-drive to succeed and was a great heel with amazing mic work, and even improved in the ring.
In light of Awesome Truth being dropped, Miz flopping in mid-card hell, and floundering as a terrible face, he still kind of improved, in terms of his look and even in the ring a bit. Unfortunately, face Miz was AWWWFFULLLLL on the mic. Hell, he never even said "I'm Awesome!" anymore. But if maybe they wrote something good for him, Miz could come back to that time in early 2011 when he was on the crux of greatness and was getting really over. I always felt Miz was like The Rock in the sense that we was getting so over as heel champ, he'd just naturally turn face with his loud-mouth charismatic character. Obviously that didn't happen, but looking back, I think Miz had a special look as the suit-wearing obnoxious heel, but could also be serious when needed.
Imagine if he feuded with Daniel Bryan or CM Punk, the contrast makes those feuds seem interesting. Hell, I'd honestly rather see Miz vs. Big Show instead of Orton as champ, as at least Miz could play the cowardly bastard well. In fact, Miz would fit much better as corporate champ for HHH. Triple H has bashed Orton before, and made Orton the fool. Serious Viper Orton looks like an idiot, and it's bad for him. But cowardly goofball Miz looks like an idiot, and it's kind of good for him.
Never the less, it's also on him, as some feel he's gotten lazy. Also, creative is a factor. Still, in an ideal situation, I'd like to see Miz back in the game again, just to freshen things up. With heels like Del Rio, Orton, and Triple H that have a "mandate" where they can't be made the fool in their comeuppance, The Miz could easily do so... and do it well. And to me, that's what makes the Miz.... AWESOME!
Go for it in the comments. HOO-RAH!

It'd be more beneficial to 'E if they were to treat with some semblance of respect. To let a former WM main-eventer slip into midcard obscurity really does no favours to the luster of headlining the big show.

But keeping someone who should have never main evented in the first place in the upper card, just to keep up the mystique of WrestleMania, isn't a good idea either.

I dislike him. His pectorals seem unduly flabby. He's also someone who I think looks like he's playing a wrestling character rather than being one, if that makes sense. I don't find his personality genuine or believable.

I don't find his personality genuine or believable. I actually like Miz's moobs (Despite being a bi-ish guy, I'll use the phrase "no homo" because I'm not talking about him in a sexual sense). Everyone talks about how CM Punk with his "skinny fat ass" or Daniel Bryan's dimunitive stature (despite being a fit and handsome guy in his own right) makes them more "relatable" to the "average joe" type of fans. I view Miz, and his bulky, but not quite ripped physique in a similar regard. He can be a great role model for younger males because he has a more "realistically attainable" physique compared to other faces on the roster like Cena, Sheamus, Rhodes, or even lower card wrestlers like Ryder or Riley. You're not going to hear stories of someone getting injured in the gym, developing an eating disorder, or getting sick/hospitalized after OD'ing on some random pre-workout because they wanted to look like THE MIZ. And that's how Miz's personality is. He's always had this goofy, awkward-but-he-knows-it look to him and to me it makes him kind of endearing. It's one of the reasons I'd rather see him as a dorky cheeseball face instead of some heel who tries to be menacing (Awesome Truth was the only time LOLBADASS Miz ever worked).

I like Miz. That said I don't want him near the main event. He works much better when he's not having to carry a big storyline and can just goof around and be himself. I'd like to see him have another IC title run, maybe get into a program with Heyman and Ryback since they don't seem to have anything for him anyway. Miz' natural douchiness and Ryback's constant cries of "STOP BULLYING ME" would be endlessly entertaining.

Miz vs. Ryback seems like it would be the perfect not too midcard-y pseudo main event feud that the IC Title needs.

I don't find his personality genuine or believable. What's the status of his lateral collateral ligaments? And have you ever noticed his external occipital protuberance? I heard that'll give you a negative attitude in a hurry.

Everyone to their own but I don't.
His main event run exposed him and he shouldn't be allowed anywhere near be a WM main event ever again.

I didn't hate his feud with Lawler as much as I thought I would.
Suit miz with Riley sidekick switched up Raw for a while.
Something that wouldn't hurt Raw at all.
No doubt we're stuck with Authority + Orton + Big Show + Cena until one of them becomes injured.

I liked the dorky cheeseball heel Miz, circa 2008. I'll take headbangin' fedora/shorts wearing Miz over Miz TV Miz anyday. He's not good as the menacing heel, crowds didn't really take to him as a face, so I think the douchey heel bit is the best spot for him. Preferably in a tag team, he's good at playing off of someone else and the tag division is the place to be these days.

I like Miz alright, but he doesn't really belong at the top. Not yet anyway, he's not good enough at any level to be there, and the push they gave him pretty well demonstrated that.
I'll grant you his reign did him no favors when they had him feuding with Lawler etc, but even if they played it relatively straight, his weakenesses woulda be really apparent.

When Miz came back at MITB, he got a pop, and got another one for asking if people missed him. People wanted him to go face, and his face turn killed it.

Miz's face run was great, it was just ruined by bad booking.
He played a great underdog JTTS. Watch his match with Swagger and you'll see it.
Also his IC Title win at the WM29 pre-show was Miz's first big Mania moment as a face. Miz made that IC belt look relevant, and it looked like he really wanted it, not like it was just something to keep him busy away from the World Titles. And yet they pissed it away by having him lose it in 24 hours.
Miz should've been the secondary face of the Authority angle, not Big Show. They should've given him the filler title feud at Survivor Series. Give him either one last chance to redeem himself and get back into the main event, or one last stand before getting depushed to the midcard for good.

Miz is one of the few heels left that generate legit hate.
This thread is point and case.
I'd love him to be at the top certainly more so than Orton, Del Rio, Show, or Sheamus
