I can believe an undead zombie gets power from an urn. I can believe his brother can control fire with his hands. I can believe a voodoo priest cast spells on the Ultimate Warrior. And I believe in the Shield.
But I cannot believe anything that happens in a Rey Mysterio match. Goofy, stupid, fake as all hell bullshit every single week.

I don't know what it is, but I really dislike Rey.
So much so that I go into full heel mode when he's on screen. "Oh christ no, please get up and spear that little midget Rei... f*** YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"Oh christ no, please get up and spear that little midget Rei... f*** YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I like Rey well enough, and even I love to watch horrible things happen to him, like when Del Rio debuted and put him away with a broken arm, or when Chavo made him Quit and vandalized his website to play Ooh Chavo, while saying quitters do not deserve websites.

Rey is a case of someone who's too broken down to do what he tries to do and is an example of why guys like Arn Anderson and Taz decided to hang it up rather than keep getting surgeries and continue.

My problem with Rey is that his standard moves would be fine in a cruiserweight match. In a match with bigger guys a lot of it doesn't look right.

Bit of a difference saying you don't enjoy someone's work in the ring and being happy that they're injured. We're here on a wrestling board to talk about wrestlers and who we like or dislike. When you start being glad that someone is hurt is when you really need to start taking a closer look at yourself.

I feel bad for poor Rey. He just keeps trying to do what he's always done, because he (probably rightly) suspects WWE will axe him without his "legendary luchador" gimmick, only he clearly can't go like that anymore.

While I don't care for his work, I usually am at least understanding of Rey.
But I admit, Batista destroying him a few years back amused me way more than it should've. I partially blame Batista screaming at him about how he was supposed to be his friend.

Actually, it's okay to laugh when Sin Cara quits a match after hurting his finger. That's the exception. I'm not ashamed to admit that I thought that was funny.

Arn and Taz had neck injuries and had little choice in the matter, had they not had serious injuries I have little doubt that they would have stuck around well past their expiration date. It's what wrestlers do. It's not like Rey is stinking it up in ring, he's not the same guy that was the greatest high flyer of all time but he's still more than passable in the ring.

Taz had the option of getting surgery and perhaps extending his career, but decided he did not wish to risk complications or further injury, I imagine his family weighing heavy on his mind, as he had a young kid at the time, if I recall.

The only thing that makes me like Rey a tiny little bit is the fat shirt he's wearing.

It's funny that guys who like to use sarcastic humor at times can be so quickly outraged when it comes from someone else no hard feelings, we cool

I don't know, I can't stand guys like John Cena and Undertaker being so stale but for some reason Rey doesn't bother me. I just don't really care.

I just read a huge rant about Cena and how they hope he would get injured so bad he'll never wrestle again. Take this awkward bro fist bump from me.

Rey was fine competing against the Ultimos, Juvis, Kidmans and Psicosises of the World, but you definitely have to suspend your disbelief watching Vince approved hosses sell headscissors and such.

Also, the 619 is now and has always been stupid.
The individual pieces of it are fine, but to have it happen in that exact same sequence 99% of the time really gets on my damn nerves.
