Cena's already come out as gay every time he's popped and boner for Orton. And those promos he cut on the Rock about wanting to get his balls polished by Dwayne for 2 hours and basically wanting to sexually dominate the guy were hashtag homo to the extreme rocking a mike like a vandal.

What if he's gay and likes neither? Then he's an asexual gay man. Or he's just not a bottom.

If he did, I'd call b.s. on it.

He would be hailed as a hero and then life would go on. The little thuganomicls minions would know their role and respect sexual freedom. Fruity pebbles would make a ****ing killing.

When I was in WWE, I thought that I was gay. But that was only to make sure that Nikki Bella went away.

The fact that having one of these posts caused such a weird response is sort of telling, though This right here. People post scores of "what if the screwjob didn't happen," "what if Austin 3:16 didn't happen" etc. threads and generally those are widely accepted and get plenty of detailed responses. Someone asks about something related to gender and/or sexuality and we instantly get "b-b-but it's hypothetical!" and all kinds of kvetching, up to and including fraudulently comparing it to something like a change in hair color. Then lots of parody threads for seemingly no reason. Some of you may've not (or did!) noticed that it made you uncomfortable - but your brain did. No, no, no. You can't simply project that notion upon me. I'll tell you right now that I did in fact say the same exact thing for the Montreal Screwjob long ago. I don't understand the point of that kind of discussion. I just don't get it.

I just noticed that handful of newly created hypothetical threads on the front page.
Let me please re-state that is NOT something I condone. Don't lump me in with those guys.

I don't understand the point of that kind of discussion. I just don't get it. Maybe not, but you're not the only one. Why the rejection of hypotheticals in general, then, I have absolutely no idea. It lets people view a scenario from a different light because it can cause implications about greater consequences. If you didn't intend those kinds of threads and don't want to be lumped in, that's another thing. Just felt kinda telling to me that people were parodying a pretty basic question and somehow people think being gay is the same as...being lactose intolerant.

It lets people view a scenario from a different light because it can cause implications about greater consequences. Sometimes, a hypothetical is appropriate. To use one as rhetoric in a particular aspect of a greater discussion? Okay. But as a main topic of discussion on a wrestling message board? I fail to see how that's fruitful. Off the top of my head, I can come up with millions. No one hypothetical is objectively more valid than another. Why? Because they're all make believe. Which means if one is on-topic, it's hard to argue why they all shouldn't be. And here's the thing with "What if's". Yes, you can have fun with them. You can. But if you go back to my original post in this thread, you'll find that I did not demonize anybody or anything. I simply called it "silly". Calling something "silly" is not a downright chastisement. It's just that I think it's... well... silly.

My opinions about Cena would remain the same. A better question would be what if Cena came out as a woman trapped in a man's body?

If Cena came out as gay, HHH would come out too and try to out gay him. *Motorhead guitar riff* BEHOLD THE KING...THE KING OF KINGS... *Triple H comes out clean shaven, in a pink bikini top with a dark purple pride triangle on the front, with leather chest straps and a studded biker hat, daisy duke shorts and pink furry boots, his lips glossed, sashaying down to the ring drapped in a rainbow flag* ON YOUR KNEES DOG

Okay, I'm just gonna take a moment to apologize to Kneelift.
I now realize that my initial post comes off a bit dickish. I didn't mean to single out this thread. I was being a bit of a party pooper and I should have simply stayed out of this thread. I'm sorry.

They would push him even harder if he did come out as gay. He would be featured in every gay publication WWE could get him booked for. Darren Young just doesn't have the appeal as Cena in WWE's eyes so they would go out of their way to promote Cena within the gay community. Magazines, TV shows, other publications...you name it and WWE would try to get Cena on it.
