Anyone else think there really will be one champion? I can't see them going to this length to clarify it will be unified unless they're actually going to go through with it.
Maybe I'm too trusting.

Tonight it seems like they're trying to reinforce that it isn't a bait-and-switch and they're really going through with it. I'm not 100% convinced, but I'd say it's more likely than not that they unify the belts at TLC.

I hope there is. They really shouldn't drag this out.
Just unify the belts, get the rematch clause match out of the way at the Rumble, and then let the champion wrestle the Rumble winner at WM30.

I think HHH pushes both men off the ladder and makes himself Unified Champion because he can.

Blind cynicism is just as laughable as blind optimism. They have the rematch clause, they don't need the match to end in a draw. What happened before with the Abeyance stuff was only because they were rushing it out due to having two PPVs in one month. I firmly believe there would have been different outcomes if not for the stupid way the PPVs got scheduled this year.

I don't see them doing a screwy finish leaving two champs. I think last week they didn't realize how many people would read into what was said as to imply a screwy finish at the PPV and turn people off buying it. That lead them to go overboard this week with the guarantee, naming poll and everything else to try and cover for it.

They've really gone out of their way to emphasize that there will be a singular undisputed champion, to the point of even having a damn poll about the name for the new belt.

After these past few months, I would not believe WWE if they told me they were hot while they were on fire.

Cena will win in the usual, totally predictable fashion.

Cena will win in the usual, totally predictable fashion. And since this is the "Unified Championship" and not the "Undisputed Championship" we can hear how Cena is the first ever Unified WWE Champion. Or Triple H when he pulls a swerve. I do think that they were hinting way too obviously at the each guy grabs a belt screwy ending (the word choices were at total Chekov's Gun situation) and someone thought it was clever enough to get past. THen when they reaized, with lots of shock I would imagine, that people actually saw a string of screwjobs followed by that phrasing and concluded that hey, they might do another screwy ending for the 4th month in a row, and changed things up. THis way we can still get a screwy ending (and we will have shenanigans aplenty), but not the screwy ending that we all saw coming. My over/under on run ins is 6, and I'm taking the over.

Part of me wishes that the swerve would be a clean finish to this match. Instead, there will be shenanigans aplenty that will put some of TNA's main events back in the day to shame and I'll be sad.

They'll tweak the rules where it'll subtly allow anyone to run in and grab the belt.
Behold.....Evan Bourne, Unified Champion!

They actually said tonight that there WILL be one champion and Stephanie said she guaranteed it. Sure, there could still be a whacky finish where they each grab a belt. Last week I felt close to 100 percent sure that Cena would walk away WWE Champion and Orton would walk out WHC. Now I'm not sure. Last week they parsed their words saying that having one champion was merely 'the goal.' Now they're saying it's a guarantee and that it 'will' happen.

It was too obvious that they were going for a Belt Swap and everyone caught on. They aren't changing the plan, but the next few shows will be dedicated to making people think there will be one champ. Then when they Belt Swap at TLC, it will be a MASSIVE SWERVE NO ONE SAW COMING.

I'd put money on no screwy endings. The authority is endorsing both Cena and Orton so there's no need to screw either of them. But then again, with WWE writing...

I say throw the rematch clause out the window all together this time, and have the winner fight someone like Punk at the Rumble. I'm tired of the constant rematches. It all just feels so lazy.

Goodwill and belief in WWE is at an all-time low. If they told people tomorrow that the sky was blue, they'd probably scoff and look out the window expecting the sky to be purple or something.

This is the same company that "guaranteed" that no one would interfere in any match during Survivor Series too.
I'm just saying.
