You'd be surprise how many girls prefer in-depth storylines over random hot guys wrestling these days. I wouldn't assume so easily what teenage female fans prefers. More hot manbod wouldn't hurt. One problem is, what women think is hot and what bisexual men with body dysmorphia who run wrestling companies think is hot are two different things. The other problem is, there's this embedded assumption that only men watch, so attractive men are preening villains (assuming we'd be jealous of them). And, they can't linger too much on hot men, because they assume only men watch and so of course that'd be gay. And even if the writers are okay with gayness, they're still going to back away from it, since they know how easily pro wrestling could become just a gay thing. At the end of the day, yeah, to hook women: real storlines embedded in consistent, character and relationship based motivations. In other words, they won't hook women. Also, as silly as Total Divas is, it does help. Because you talk to any given random non-fan on the street, and the preception is that the WWE is actively hostile to women and doesn't want female viewers. Anything picking at that will help.
