Whatever happened to that? I guess they realized that Ambrose wasn't all he was cracked up to be and just made them all one cohesive unit.
Thank god for that. He's probably the most meh guy on the roster.

Uhh...what? Even though it's not super established, it's pretty clear that Ambrose is still the "leader" of the group.

Plus, I laugh at him being one of the most "meh" guys on the roster, considering how great the Shield matches are.

I think the OP watched this angle in reverse. If anything, back when they first started, they were all equals then as time went on, Ambrose became the "leader".

I attribute most of the greatness of the Shield matches to Reigns and Rollins.
Ambrose is really just...there. Like, yeah. He makes funny faces and seems a bit unhinged I guess, but as I see it, he's just a guy who is in the Shield to me.

Remember when half this board was throwing a fit over what a horrible person Mick Foley is for not hauling his limping, 46-year-old ass out to put over Dean Ambrose?

Remember when people thought he and D-Bry would form some sort of ROH stable with Rollins?

It's pretty clear that he's still the leader. The great thing about the group is the subtle interactions between them, with Ambrose always stepping out in front of Rollins and Reign. I'm gonna be pretty sad when they split up, cause they're truly one of the most cohesive units in recent years with each one drifting with the next to become the jaeger known as The Shield.

Man, whatever. Front all you want but Dean is the one with the mic skills and we all know how much WWE loves that. When Reigns (and possibly Rollins) break away from the group it's going to likely be over some shit Ambrose did, like technically costing the Shield the titles on last week's Smackdown.
Sure, Cody might have had Rollins dead to rights, but Dean was the one who ran in and caused the DQ. Dean's been the one slyly talking shit about being the only one with the title. Hell, Shield ultimately even went after Undertaker because Dean got bored.
WWE doesn't trumpet it back and forth surprisingly, and it makes more sense than them trying to shoehorn Reigns into that role just because he's big, handsome and has a mean spear.

Ambrose = Meh?
I'd say Rollins is more Meh than Ambrose, yeah he's got a cool moveset and he's nothing but awesome in the ring but he's by far the most bland member of The Shield, Ambrose is a great psychopath and I love Reigns as the smug big man, Rollins is just there.

I know I will catch some heat for this but I really don't like Ambrose on the mic. People talk about how grating Rollins' voice is (and it can be). I find Ambrose to be worse by a wide margin. If he talks for more than 30 seconds, I want to mute my television. Now, I don't hate Ambrose so I don't want anyone thinking that. I think he is solid in the ring. I just can't stand to hear him talk. I'm also not big on the facial expressions he does at times but I can deal with that. If I could just watch him wrestle and not have to hear his voice, I would be happy. Just my own personal opinion as I aware I am in the minority here.
