I've always seen it as Ambrose is the Hayes, Reigns is the Gordy, Rollins is the Roberts.

I like al lthree guys ambrose is my favorite. Reigns is the one I like least. That doesn't mean I don't like him. The cool thing about the Shield is that everyone has their favorite because they all have great qualities. But like the female backstreet boys band fans, wrestling fans have to come up with reasons to hate the other members so they don't feel like they are cheating on the one that they are in love with.

Ambrose. Still the shit. Still the only guy WWE lets talk for more than 5 seconds. Still got the most upside in the group. He'll probably get the heatz daddy and job out for a while after the Shield, but there's no stopping him. He'll take whatever shitty spot he gets and do the little things and maximize his time and get over, just like Punk did when he was eating shit booking-wise.

I agree that Ambrose has been "meh" in his WWE run so far. I think it's because he's the least exciting to watch in the ring, and because they don't get a lot of promo time, which is where he excels. After the inevitable break-up I think he'll start to shine.

There's never been a leader. Ambrose is the talker, but that's because Reigns is the silent monster and, well, have you ever HEARD a Seth Rollins promo?

He is and he isn't. Reigns and Rollins aren't really subsurvient to him, they just tend to listen.

Was there a leader of the Radicalz? Eddie and Benoit were obviously the guys getting pushed, but I didn't see anyone as the leader of the group per se. That's how I see The Shield's situation, but with Ambrose being the promo guy. He's also in the middle of the shot for their backstage promos, so that probably means something. If there is a leader, it's him. But it's not like Legacy where Rollins and Reigns are his bitches.

No, not really.
The fact that there isn't a clear leader is the reason why it hasn't turned into X superstar and his lackeys, like what happens with most failed stables.

Uhh...what? Even though it's not super established, it's pretty clear that Ambrose is still the "leader" of the group. The logic follows as such: Ambrose is the leader Ambrose is reduced to limited talking Ambrose's ring time is limited Ambrose is therefore teh wurst evar.

No, not really. The fact that there isn't a clear leader is the reason why it hasn't turned into X superstar and his lackeys, like what happens with most failed stables. Exactly. Ambrose doesn't lead them, nor do they follow him around and only react when he tells them to. They're a cohesive unit. Ambrose just happens to be the official "representative" and general personality of The Shield, which is why he's usually front and center when it comes to their promos and backstage "messages". Reigns brings the power and intimidation/fear, and Rollins is the most skilled in the ring.
