Would WWE really be so dumb as to not snatch up AJ Styles? Can't see ROH being able to hold him, so I guess we'll see him in AAA or Japan.

WWE offered Jericho less money than WCW, but Jericho took it because he knew WWE could push him further...

I hope he ends up in ROH so I can still see him on TV.
I just can't see WWE offering him a deal because of his size.

This wasn't 500k vs. 850k like it was for Jericho, I think that WWE only offered him in the range of 90k/year. Styles can make that in Japan/Mexico/the Indies easily, and work half the schedule.

They probably see him as an aging small performer that they'd have to build from scratch given their larger audience. So it wouldn't surprise me if they lowball him.

That autobiography could really be something now.\
I really hope we don't see him back in a couple of months. Not becaues I don't want to watch him, but I dont' want him to have to give in and take less money. TNA f***ed up big time the last 3 years, they deserve to lose Styles.

I don't get it. AJ Styles has some name value. Remember when CM Punk was instantly over when he debuted on ECW? Styles has more exposure than Punk did at that point. Debut him in the right place at the right time, he'll get a strong reaction and people will realize "okay, this guy is someone to watch."

I haven't actually watched TNA in a couple years now, but man, this is like if WCW had lost Sting. It just feels wrong.
And if my memory is correct, I believe that James Storm is now the only guy left who's been with TNA since it's creation.

If wwe does take him at some point, I'd hate to see what his gimmick would be.

People knew who people like the Sandman were 5 years after they had been in ECW. TNA may be much smaller, but it's still wrestling on Primetime every week on a basic cable channel. People would react.

AJ is just another guy now. He doesn't have the aura of Indy god that Punk had.

If this is really true....
Am I out of line to say its like if ECW had shown Tommy Dreamer the door? WCW letting Sting walk? WWF low balling Undertaker?
AJ Styles is the TNA guy and he hasn't really been treated well by them in years... Sure, he's not great on the mic, but they could have done something to get around that with a manager or keep his promos short.
What happens when other top guys have their contracts come up? If they let AJ go how can they keep other top stars besides the guys Spike TV pays the contacts for.

Would not surprise me if he "popped" up at TLC and cost Cena the title.
and then have a laughing riot as WWE proceeds to have Cena go SuperMan Prime squash mode.

Not to mention too, CM Punk had Paul Heyman in his corner from the beginning so you know Paul was going to make sure Punk was hyped and even debuted him in the ECW ring at the right time. Who in WWE is going to go to bat for Styles like that?

This would be such a shitty way for him to go out of a company that he helped established and stood by through the best and worst of times.
