This is a pretty unfair statement to make, to be honest. There's more to people's expectations and desires beyond just putting new guys on the roster and leaving it there.

I'm not in this group of people who are demanding all these new wrestlers. Let me say that first.
But on their behalf, I hate this idea that when you ask for something new you have to accept whatever quality it is you're given. If you ask for a new car and you're given a shell with a shitty engine and no brakes, you don't just shut up because it's new and that's what you wanted.
If people think Xavier Woods is awful, they don't have to shut up because he's someone they haven't called up before. That's ridiculous.

Well, the problem is the schadenfreude people who get enjoyment about seeing someone fail. But in general, these are not the same individuals wanting new stars.

I've been a fan of everyone brought up so far, honestly. I can see the criticism for what they've got Xavier Woods doing, but he's still fun to watch.

We can't have every new star called up to the main roster being a worldbeater and main eventing shows.

What new stars are being bitched about other than Xavier Woods?

What kind of logic is that? Let's say I went to a restaurant and ordered a grilled piece of chicken. The waiter brings me the chicken but it's burnt to hell. Would I be out of line for asking the waiter to give another piece of chicken or give me my money back? When I ask for something, I expect it to be good/done well. Like, holy shit. Does that really need to be said? I guess so because people keep making this bizarre argument. Xavier Woods lost in a minute last night. How is that putting over a young star?

I've only seen bitching about how Xavier's being booked, seems everyone's quite happy with the fact he's been called up. So keep your sweeping generalisations in your pocket!

It takes effort to make a "star" Bringing a guy onto the main roster with no pre-hype, sticking him into a shitty story with glorified jobbers, then having him lose so quickly is hardly the best way of doing that.

I do agree that Xavier should've gotten some hype, but I actually like this feud with Brodus. Like someone else said, not every new guy needs to be a badass that squashes the whole midcard and then gets shoved into the main event. It seems like you have this mindset that just because someone is a "jobber" NOW, that they should remain that way forever and never get any type of redemption, or any time to shine ever again. Mark Henry and I both disagree with you.

Mark Henry and I both disagree with you. He could've still been hyped into a feud with Brodus instead of the nothing they gave him. I don't really have any faith they're going use Xavier as anything more than the next "model" of Kofi Kingston. If Woods gets most of the crowd on his side, like Kofi, it's going to be despite all the nothing they give him. And as much as I like Henry, I wouldn't use him as an example. How many presidential administrations came and went before Henry truly got to the main event WHC/Main-Event Lite status? I've barely got faith and patience with anything they do now. I'm certainly not going to wait to pass judgment until my non-existent 9-month-old becomes old enough to go to Pretend University because Xavier Woods might get a filler run.

I'd rather see a new star crawl from the bottom up and show character progress than a new star debut, kick everyones ass right away and there is nowhere to push them after a couple months.

He's inferior in practically every way.

Did I miss the thirty-page threads where everyone was demanding that Xavier Woods debut on the main roster?

It may be "difficult" to try to push someone up the card, but I don't think it's that hard to give a guy like Brodus Clay actual storylines and wins with people on his own level. Instead of using all these underutilized talents to job to everyone above them, or treating them like they don't exist, they could just mingle in their own little world away from the drama of the main event.
