and you still bitch about it?! People like Xavier Woods get called up, a new star gets called up which is what you guy's have been wanting and you still complain. Because they brought him up in a nothing storyline that does him no favors and gets Brodus as a heel I see it differently. First off, at least he has a storyline right off the bat. Second of all, Tons of Funk and R-Truth were doing nothing before and now they also have a storyline. I don't see the problem here at all.

What kind of logic is that? Let's say I went to a restaurant and ordered a grilled piece of chicken. The waiter brings me the chicken but it's burnt to hell. Would I be out of line for asking the waiter to give another piece of chicken or give me my money back? When I ask for something, I expect it to be good/done well. Like, holy shit. Does that really need to be said? I guess so because people keep making this bizarre argument. Xavier Woods lost in a minute last night. How is that putting over a young star? see for me and some other people it's not so much you're complaining that your order is poorly done. It's more like you go to a restaurant and say to the waiter "Bring me food" and everytime he tries to comply with your vague order you slap it away and say "This isn't what I wanted. Bring me what I want."

Who was complaining about this in the first place? The Shield and Big E Langston all debuted at the tail end of 2012, and Zeb Coulter, Fandango, Summer Rae, The Wyatt Family, Eva Marie, JoJo, Los Matadores (most fans don't realize/care that they were on the roster under a previous gimmick), Torito, and Xavier Woods all debuted in 2013. Factor in this year's returns of Chris Jericho, Rob Van Dam, and Goldust, and the roster has been able to stay pretty fresh this year. Is there really a large contingent of people clamoring for more call ups?

But there does seem to be a large contingent of people on the internet who are obsessed with what happens next

How dare people dislike the fact that a new guy got brought up with no hype and keeps getting squashed.
I have to pose the question because it bugs me constantly - where does the passive-aggressive attutude towards this supposed "IWC" come from? We're all members of the same online community but all have our own opinions. There is no hivemind.

For the record I like Xavier, liked him on NXT, and right now I don't mind the story as surely it will lead somewhere (I know, I know, Double Double E...) but people are allowed to voice concerns without being besmirched with a wickerman argument, as in, you need to be lit up to understand any of the logic stemming from the opening post. It's more like you go to a restaurant and say to the waiter "Bring me food" and everytime he tries to comply with your vague order you slap it away and say "This isn't what I wanted. Bring me what I want." You can do that at some places, consider it a today's special scenario. If said special of the day happens to be undercooked, or missing a side-salad, or missing something else which establishes context & the flavour of said meal then it's not the customer being vague that's the problem, it's the chef.

For me, "push new stars" means mix it up a little and give some shine to a few more people outside of the usual suspects. And that's why I enjoy watching Xavier and Brodus.

The only complaining I see is Oscar Papa complaining about people complaining.
Grumpy boy needs a sippy-juice or something.

This mentality will always be so flawed for two reasons- 1) You guys implies that everyone wants/likes-dislikes the same thing and 2) that's anything new will automatically be liked by this mythic groupthink.

Well, the problem is the schadenfreude people who get enjoyment about seeing someone fail. But in general, these are not the same individuals wanting new stars. Well, that, and now that people they like are at/close to the top, they'd likely rather not see someone new show up to try to take those spots away. Especially when there are still guys on the active roster like Cesaro and Ambrose who haven't got their chance at the top yet. Not to mention the guys that WWE brass are high on like Reigns, Cody, and Big E.

I'm not in the group begging for 'new stars' to get put on the main roster because a lot of times new guys(or acts) are used for a while and are hyped up and then slowly start doing nothing because 'creative has nothing for you.'
-Fandango -Los Matadors -Tensai -Curtis Axel -The Wyatts for a while after that Kane feud, then Kane came back and didn't get revenge on them.
I'm in the group that wants them to actually do something with the people who are already on the main roster and are not getting enough time to showcase themselves. I want to see more from guys like:
-Tyson Kidd -Justin Gabriel -Dolph Ziggler -Wade Barrett(in ring) -Evan Bourne(is he still hurt?) -Zack Ryder -Ryback
I'm not talking about a match here and there either, actually have a plan for them and carry it out into interesting feuds.
Their roster is already huge and calling up guys isn't the solution to make things more interesting its actually having some kind of plan for them past 3 months or so. Look at how long Los Matadors were hyped up...they're just another tag team. Curtis Axel being the 'new Paul Heyman guy' meant nothing in the long run neither did his matches against HHH and John Cena or his IC title run.

Variety is the spice of life. You can't gauge what everybody's interests are. Threads like this are beyond moronic because everybody has different tastes. Of course there is gonna be dissenting opinions. That's why this is a discussion board. You can't please everyone. That's not just wrestling, that's life. That said, if anybody would like to explain how a guy getting beat in a minute makes him look good, I'm all ears.

Even if he did lose in a minute, it's not like he's some random scrub on the Wheel of Aggression getting fed to Brodus to build him up for a match with Cena, Bryan, or Punk. Sure it isn't the best match outcome, but this is part of an actual feud. Xavier already has a few victories over Brodus, so Brodus had to get a win back at some point.
