No, jobbers are not beyond redemption, but in WWE once they bury someone, it's incredibly difficult to rebuild them. Brodus isn't Mark Henry. He's inferior in practically every way. It may be "difficult" to try to push someone up the card, but I don't think it's that hard to give a guy like Brodus Clay actual storylines and wins with people on his own level. Personally I would have kept Brodus as a singles comedy act with his dancing girls. He could have been their new Rikishi. A five minute match every few weeks to make the kids smile. That was his level. Once they stuck the useless Tensai with him, it killed his gimmick.

The Shield - new guys, people liked them.
Wyatt Family - new guys, people like them.
There's a difference between liking someone because they're good and simply liking someone because they're new.
You come on TV doing the same tedious dance routine shit and waggling your tongue around like one of the f***ing Muppet's and, chances are, a lot of people won't like you.
NXT is my favourite wrestling show on TV because it showcases new guys. But if they happen to suck then yeah, I don't like them. Xavier Woods is terrible so I don't like him. That's kinda how it works.

Very confusing thread.
I didn't know that the opinion of every IWC member rested under some sort of contradictory umbrella, where everyone is unhappy and always wanting more.
Perhaps the people who are complaining about the first part about no new stars aren't the ones complaining about how those stars are treated.

Its called context.
Calling up a new "star" to be highlighted or used in the way Xavier is being used serves no purpose to him (other than him getting a paycheck) or to the audience. He's just a low-card peon right now. It's hardly comparable to something like Del Rio or Sin Cara, who got loads of promo before actually debuting and who most people gave a chance to before shitting on them. Yes, I want to see new talent brought up to the roster, but the people complaining about Xavier have every right to do so. Same as those who praised the Shield being brought up had every right to champion that move. They actually had a plan for the Shield. Xavier is a completely different situation.
You know whats worse about people who bitch about everything? The people who bitch about people bitching.

So you guys want the divas to be given more emphasis and time and when they do you still bitch about it?! New stars like JoJo and Eva Marie get called up and are even given their own show which is what you guy's have been wanting and you still complain.

You know whats worse about people who bitch about everything? The people who bitch about people bitching. Having said that, though: I do like Woods, and it's fine "how" he's being pushed. If his push is worthy of bitching about or what he's doing is, the better question is: What the hell could WWE have DONE with Xavier Woods besides this? He had a fun '90s kid gimmick in NXT, but watching it, you could know two things were clear: 1- Woods as '90s kid will get over with fans. 2- NO WAY IN HELL Vince McMahon "gets" it. So, left to his own devices, Woods's gimmick would fail due to that second fact. However, even if Vince McMahon has the '90s savvy of a person obsessed with Buzzfeed, how the hell could WWE have made that gimmick work in a better place than this? Should Xavier Woods have shown up, beaten Orton and Bryan for the title, then threw down the new one and held up the Winged Eagle championship or something? Attacked The Authority in favor of bringing WWE back to the Attitude Era? What?

And suddenly ratetankmark tips over from 'asking obvious questions' into 'insulting every goddamn person here simultaneously.' Great gimmick I think painting everyone with the same brush on this board is wrong. It's not a board where everyone has the same opinion and always agree with eachother. There are wrestling boards like that (Usually company specific) but this one definitely isn't one. And yes, nobody should have to accept lesser quality because it's new. In OP's mind you all would HAVE to accept an 800 pound obese man named Super Slim just because he's new.

I'm not in this group of people who are demanding all these new wrestlers. Let me say that first. But on their behalf, I hate this idea that when you ask for something new you have to accept whatever quality it is you're given. If you ask for a new car and you're given a shell with a shitty engine and no brakes, you don't just shut up because it's new and that's what you wanted. If people think Xavier Woods is awful, they don't have to shut up because he's someone they haven't called up before. That's ridiculous. in that case people should be more specific in their demands. There's a bunch of people out there who say they want a certain thing to happen, but there's always an asterisk that has all kinds of little details that have to happen for them to be content with that certain thing
