They pretty much chose the least interesting finish possible. Now we get tension between Orton and The Authority! Yay!

I just wanted a bit more.
Honestly, since Punk has been out of the title picture, The Rock left, and Cena was shoved to the forefront again I just completely lost interest.
The whole Heyman/Punk story was awful too.
I like Bryan but his promo work doesnt keep me invested at all and he is really grating on my ears. Im really just waiting for Cena Vs. Punk to close Wrestlemania and then stop watching for a while.

Yes, because the two world titles were unified in a gimmick match on a low-tier ppv with a sloppy build.

There have been some epic meltdowns on this board tonight over this finish. Those fans wanted either Cena to win, or for there to be another PPV main event ending in a screw job. I'm so confused. But also somewhat comforted by the Gilmore Girls thread. Honestly, if you're going throw a crybaby fit every time your guy doesn't win a match that really could be booked either way, you may be too emotionally fragile to handle watching pro wrestling.

I still say someone should have cashed in a TNA feast or fired briefcase. Anything to make it more interesting.
The ending was gonna suck no matter what. Orton vs Cena? Both get so-so crowd reactions at this point. I mean, the Daniel Bryan crowd reaction felt more like the main event than this did from an audience stand point.

No because its what i expected. To be bummed I'd have to be let down. (Even though i dislike Orton more than any other wrestler I saw this coming)

There was literally no way that any outcome could be majority-favorable to this demographic of fans, because the two people involved were already disliked to begin with.
You can't win, you can't break even, and - with this booking style and this enforced status quo - you can't get out of the game.

There's potential good news here, and there's potential bad. The good being that Orton and Cena can continue this wet fart of a feud and this will take Cena out of the Royal Rumble picture. The bad could be that Cena doesn't challenge for the title and is yet again the albatross of the Royal Rumble. Hell he might even have title match and a Rumble slot for all we know. They gotta be out of their minds if they think Orton/Cena will cut it as the WM Main Event, I don't care what happens as long as we don't get that.

Well considering I went into the Main event not giving a toss about either competitor, as I am thoroughly sick of seeing both Orton & Cena week in and week out for the past 10 years, I'm not quite sure if...
A) That makes me bummed that somebody I care about didn't randomly interject themselves into the match and win, or
B) I'm not bummed because I started the evening with total apathy and zero expectations and finished the night feeling the same.

I'm trying my best to muster up a damn to give here - but it's not not happening. Like I think this sounds awful and all but when I reach deep inside the cold chambers of my heart for burning, passionate nerd hatred? It's not there. It's like the well ran dry.
Eh.

Clean finish (I was so expecting the two belts in a ladder match to mean a BS ending to hold off unification), and not automatically going to Cena (I'm for a heel holding the title throughout the Rumble-Mania season), so I liked the outcome.
Hoping Bryan wins the Rumble and takes the Unified Title at Mania.

I don't really see how any end of the show would've been all that good. My idea of Jericho's music hitting and him grabbing both titles is clearly a great idea. That is what I wanted to happen too.

Honestly, if you're going throw a crybaby fit every time your guy doesn't win a match that really could be booked either way, you may be too emotionally fragile to handle watching pro wrestling. That's the problem. It could be booked with either man winning. There was no underdog. There was no suspense and the outcome didn't matter. I'd have personally preferred Cena because Cena can and does put over some of the wrestlers that should be rising to the top and do so in good matches. Yeah we have to put up with more of the champ is here stuff but Orton is less interesting.

Nah, apathetic really.
As a wise man once said about Initech: " It's not that I'm lazy, it's that I just don't care."

I thought Cena as the reluctant corporate champ would've been more interesting, but I'm not strongly invested enough in either man to be disappointed with this finish. Cena as the corporate champ, and Orton going away for a while would have been ideal

I am bummed, mostly because of how little happened.
I didn't care who won as long as it was interesting, and it uh... wasn't. Randy even milked the taking down of the belts so hard that I thought someone MUST be about to interrupt.

I'm more disappointed that I saw this coming a mile away with the WWE's booking style. The face never wins the 1st match, and WWE never lets a guy get buried like they did on Monday and not put him back over to regain his heat.
Don't worry. All you Cena fans will get your champion in 5 weeks at the Rumble.
