I want someone to make a British version of this. Or at least an English one. Q1) What does you call these? a) Bun b) Roll c) Bap d) Cob Instantly divide the country. Breadcake. That's a new one for me. To be fair, I only found out about 'cob' when I went to uni, aha.

You missed out Barm Cake, which may offend any Mancunians out there. It's a bun though, I refuse on basic principle to call it anything else.

I remember having the 'What the hell is a 'barm cake?' conversation with my old Manc flatmate. But yeah, I just pulled the four most basic names out of my head.

Said I'm from LA, Atlanta or Honolulu. Evidently Los Angeles=Northern England these days! Yeah I got Honolulu as well, apparently Northern English people must really sound Hawaiian? I don't see it brah. Also the words and phrases for when it rains while it's sunny? Hilarious.

It said I was from Jackson, Mississippi. I'm originally from Alabama, so I guess that's close enough.

St. Louis was one of my three (along with Shreveport and San Antonio) and I'm from Blytheville, Arkansas with my dad's family living in Southern Illinois, neither of which is far from St. Louis so I'll take it.

Haha, not bad... suggested I was from Charlotte, NC, Augusta, GA (both mere hours from me, I'm practically dead in between them), and Fresno, CA.

It's always been a bun to me. I do remember a friend of mine going to the greek chippy across from our college and asking for a chip barm, he got the blankest look ever from the woman behind the counter, was hilarious.

I think the general consensus among the English folk here is that rolls/buns/cobs/barm cakes really do divide the country.
And we also speak like people from Honolulu, various places in California and New York/New Jersey.
