There was nothing average about his first theme.

He reminds me of Billy Gunn, in positive and negative aspects. Ideal body for a wrestler. Good look. Good skills. Passable on the Mic. Tons of potential. Blond Hair. Despite all that potential, he never seems to click with me. That doesn't mean he doesn't have a place in the WWE and that doesn't mean he's not going to give some good memories--but he's just missing something and I think that's going to continue to hold him back. Been saying for years that Dolph is Billy Gunn 2.0 And apparently Dolph HIMSELF embraces that comparison.

Ziggler is one of those dudes who I've never really been a fan of but I totally get why other people are. He's super talented but I've just never felt any kind of connection or reason to care.
Also he's sooooo much better as a heel.

Only thing I like about him really is his selling.

The only thing to me that's average about ziggler is the way he's written.

You are right in a way that Ziggler is made up of every part of a perfect wrestler someone would think of, the issue for Ziggler is, the best wrestlers are those that are exceptions to our perceptions of a perfect wrestler.

Ziggler, to me, is right up there with Punk and D-Bry. I don't know what it is, he just clicks, with me. His biggest issue has been lack of mic time, he's like a WCW era Steve Austin. So much potential, but no one's seeing it. This. He's really good in the ring (and a great bumper), he's really good at cutdown and fast talking promos, and he pulled off the impossible by getting a crowd to boo the ever loving shit out of Del Rio in their incredibly underrated Payback match. Plus, he's gotten over big time with smarks despite not being an Indy favorite. That takes skills.

Nothing worse than message board gimmicks...

I can't stand his promos half the time. He talks too fast to the point where nothing he says can even connect with me. It sounds like dude is cutting a promo for the first time and is super nervous.
Other than that, I like him a lot.

Putting on stellar match after match but absoloutley not getting the recognition that everyone else can see that he deserves nore getting the chance to be the main event player he should be. If there was an honest to gawd legit company against WWE I have no doubt that we would see WWE commit the same mistake that WCW did with Austin and some other company captializing on him.

Ziggler's best asset in undoubtedly his bumping, but I do think the guy is legitimately a great all-rounder. He's decent enough on the mic and has pretty solid in-ring charisma, and he's capable of having good matches with just about anyone. Hell, his Del Rio feud was basically the one time this year Del Rio was at all interesting, and I say this as a fan of ADR.

Yes, Dolph Ziggler is very average. He has a bland moveset, totally WWE style. He oversells like crazy, taking me out of the match because of his ridiculousness. Average mic skills, average charisma. I can't believe people fell for his character being 'perfect'. The only thing I like that he does is when he shows off during wrestling holds (like standing on his head or doing sit-ups). Totally overrated.

It's fine to not like a wrestler for just about any reason.
But very little about Ziggler is average.

I like Ziggler and his selling is great but I wish he'd tone it down a bit for the sake of his health in the long run, I don't want to sound like a buzzkill but if Ziggler toned down his selling he could possibly get a good few more years out of his career. Then again what do I know?
