Had to make this thread after what I did in GTA V today. So I was flying the helicopter to the next mission and decided to jump out several hundred feet above the ground, now I assumed that like San Andreas you would automatically be given a parachute if you jumped out of a vehicle mid-flight. I was wrong. Cue Trevor falling to his death.

In X-Men Legends, I didn't realise I could throw characters with other characters until I used Colossus to send Wolverine into a spike pit, killing him instantly.

I was playing some Binding of Isaac a few days ago and I blew myself up. I was having a bad run in regards to overall HP and was down to one heart. I had just finished a room where a tinted rock had been blown up so two spirit hearts were across the room, plus half of a red heart was there as well. Instead of walking around the line of rocks in front of me, I had a brain fart and tried to use IPECAC to blow it out of the way.
With me standing right in front of it.
With one heart.
DEAD.

I recently gave Hexxit a try, a Minecraft mod which is really more like a collection of mods and adds A LOT of content to the game, such as new armour, weapons, mobs, biomes, items and ESPECIALLY new dungeons which include boss battles. And I seem to be incapable of acting in an intelligent way while playing. For example, I tend to charge battle towers with some very precious loot on my person, thinking "surely in THIS one I won't get my ass kicked quite as bad as in the last one, right?", only to be repeatedly killed (and like in the regular game, you drop your loot when you die), forcing me to immediately go back if I don't want to lose it. Except of course now I don't have my good equipment I took with me so I have to take on the same dungeon with a freaking stone sword and no armour. And of course I usually still end up being killed again and losing the loot I brought first. Oh and to top off my own stupidity, the mobs can of course pick up my loot, so not only am I getting myself killed, losing my stuff and having to retry with lesser equipment, I have also armed the enemy. WHY DO I KEEP DOING THIS?!!

GTA V. put some explosives on the blimp, got in the blimp, flew the blimp high into the air, jumped out of the blimp, accidentally detonated the explosives too soon, walked out of the hospital $5000 poorer

Playing as Roll in Marvel vs. Capcom 2. Would you say that's stupider than playing as Servbot?

I've made many a stupid escape on Dark Souls, usually trying to revive and get my stuff back. Worst stuff's usually in Duels against invaders, I remember for a while, I used a Pike because it had an attack after you dodged back where you'd charge forwards with it, and hit them about 3 times for good damage, as well as stun locking them into the attack. However, I got cocky, and when facing someone who was nearly dead, decided to make it cool and charge him, and instead backflipped off a cliff and watched him standing there taunting as the screen faded to black.

Trying a Thief/Mage build in Skyrim right out the blocks. Magic is useless to a point and theres plenty of enhancements among the line to make it easy to steal when the need arises.

I also have one in Skyrim. I made Triple H, gave him no armor or clothing whatsoever (except a pair of black Necromancer boots), and equipped him with a steel warhammer. I also once made a Khajiit unarmed character. His name? Katz.

Yeah, you would have thought I'd have learned it in Demon's Souls "I died at the other end of that bridge to that black knight I ran past. THat's like, 8000 souls. I just need to run past him, kill him, and go on!" *12th time dying on the second part* "Ok, I think I've got this . This plan is too good to fail a thirteenth time."

In GTA V, there was this one time when I tried to purchase a tank while piloting. (I thought the game would pause). The plane hit a power pole.

I borrowed a friends N64 once because I wanted to delve into the game Hybrid Heaven. The problem is that the game requires the memory pack in order to save and I didn't have that.
For an entire week, I played the game dutifully in my off-time and just left the system on when I would work or go wherever.
I'm fairly confident that I was nearing the end. I pick it up one day, start running down a corridor to the next area and am kind of hopping around because.... woohoo, video games! and managed to veer right over a guardrail into a bottomless pit thus invalidating an entire week of effort in one useless whim.

Playing Red Dead Redemption, I needed to get somewhere for a mission, damned if I could find a path. I was way out in the middle of no where, I could see where I wanted to be, standing the edge of the cliff. I figured "f*** it." and jumped. Somehow, somehow, he survived and I got to where I needed to be. Of course, there's also been a few times I shot my own horse in the head firing from his back. Oops.

On Madden 25 in my Broncos Dynasty, Knowshon Moreno refused the contract I offered him and went to free agency. I wound up signing Darren McFadden, and my Zod was he horrible. Barely cracked 1,000 yards rushing.
