Some of y'all know this is a job right? You're allowed to leave if you want to do something else. You don't owe anyone anything. Ya do your job, and are paid for it, end of obligation. but... but... DIS BUSINESS!!!! [/JR]

Life is too short to do something you don't want to do if you have other options. Other people wanting that job are irrelevant.
The push thing doesn't apply either, if you work hard and advance in company A, but decide to go another route, you're not an indentured servant, you're well within your rights.
The idea that somehow you have an obligation to a place of employment because of their "investment" is ludicrous.
You perform the tasks you're hired for, they compensate you accordingly, transaction complete.

I never really begrudge a guy/gal deciding to leave the company on their own terms. The only time I think it will bother me is if a top guy just decides to leave and doesn't put over anybody in his final weeks. Even someone like Brock put over Eddie before he left for the NFL so I didn't hate on him like others did.

true, but its not some office job. A lot of people would literally kill for her job. I don't think literally is the word you're looking for unless you know something about Alberto Del Rio's reason for success that I don't.

Further, given how royally shitty wrestling has historically treated performers, the notion of a worker being vilified for not having loyalty to THIS BIDNESS is baffling.

NO! Screw the announcement later on, this is the biggest news of today. So sad. However, in all seriousness, good luck to her and everything she does. Hopefully she'll be welcomed back with open arms should she ever fancy coming back to the WWE.

I meant literally. I bet some Indy workers would off someone to be in WWE.
And Mr. Hamilton, you're probably not talking to me, but saying other people wanting the job isn't irrelevant. That is probably informing their opinion on this situation. I pretty much agree with you but don't write off other people's thoughts. They're mainly speaking out of disappointment.

She got a job a better wrestler could've gotten. She got TV time a better wrestler could've gotten. She didn't exactly do much for them with it. But purely on the entertainment factor, it makes WWE less willing to push people. That's the real problem. You wind up with "Same Old Shit" or a bunch of unpopular people being featured all the time. Neither is optimal.

it's a real shame, she was my favorite diva. It might explain her lack of push the past two months

I doubt that wrestling for the WWE is most of the diva's lifelong dream. Which is why I'd make AJ the star of my division. Because no matter what you may think of her as a performer, she unquestionably has sworn fealty to WWE and thrown her lot in with them. There is nothing she wants more than to be a wrestler for them, which means that barring a cataclysmic injury (knock on wood) there's no way they're going to lose her to a quick change of heart. The time on NXT and wasted TV time and she's gone, just like that. Thank goodness they didn't invest as much time into her as they did into Eve. Women who pull this stuff can be poison for the show if given too much. I'll have to direct you to this post then. Because I wouldn't trade that match at Payback and some of the AJ/Kaitlyn segments over the summer for anything. I don't understand your implicit argument that any short-term gain is useless, especially when it's something as throwaway as the divas division. Kaitlyn had the best WWE women's match in at least two years. She was the perfect foil to establish AJ in the division. She was good for the time she was there. Why can't that be enough? I'll miss her, still. You'd think WWE would learn something with so many women being willing to walk away - 'dat booking doesn't add up to much incentive.

Huh. Well...a surprise to me.
Best of luck to her with whatever she does. I'm disappointed that won't be in WWE.

AJ is right there too and the best thing they could do for her these days is one promo per month.
Painting WWE as this nebbish high-school kid, afraid to be betrayed is ridiculous. The idea that they give a crap about how committed the divas are seems kind of false. AJ is right there and they've definitely cooled off on her when she stopped becoming a walking plot device and started just being a wrestler.

This is my new favorite term. I'm dead serious. As for Kaitlyn, all the best to her and her bulky future husband. KEEP REACHING HIGHER, KAITLYN.
