Fake hall of fame, so it's not like it matters really. What's fake about it?

Um, can someone get me up to speed here about Moolah? What happened? I sense this is something a lot worse than the Spider Lady incident? Taken 543Y2J's post in the Mae Young thread:

I probably won't mind seeing some of the Celebs get their inductions removed. But I hate it when they remove someone's name in the HOF. It just makes the HOF look less legitimate if they can remove someone's name unless they do a Benoit situation.

Have the Moolah allegations ever been confirmed? It seems like it's up there with Christian trying to buy a slave in terms of far-fetched.

People forget that Pro Wrestling is a Sleazy business Bingo. And a lot of horrible things have been done. Snuka's in, and it's still unclear if he murdered his girlfriend or not.

There's no criteria at all, no voters, no anything besides WWE going "Hey you're a hall of famer." It's an attempt to draw interest in a nostalgia-driven event before Mania, and that's really it.

And Christian's slave news was just one poster writing up a fake report that turned into a meme around here. The Moolah stories have been around for years, and you can find the info about them all over the internet. They hardly deserve to be put in the same category.

Or at least threaten him with expulsion.

Billy Graham? Seriously? I know he's a loon today, but in his day, he was an innovator and was actually a huge draw as Champion. Oh he's certainly qualified, but I'd like WWE to knock him down a peg. Or at least threaten him with expulsion. Well, he sold his Hall of Fame ring and asked them to remove him from the Hall of Fame because he disagreed with Abdullah the Butcher being inducted. So I wouldn't really criticize WWE is they did revoke his Hall of Fame status. However, they still shouldn't and I don't even see how WWE would go about doing that and announcing that they did that.

There's no set requirement to any Hall of Fame that I know of, as they're based on the arbitrary whims of voters or committees. One Cooperstown voter this year farmed his ballot out to a snarky website, and it's also the only hall of fame that I know of that put (and kept) mediocre players in solely due to their connections with the head of the veteran's committee. It's value as an honor isn't for the fans to decide, it's for the people eligible for it.
As for removing people, unless they're convicted of a heinous rime, I don't really think so. I think some people tend to downplay what some of these performers did because of the time frame they performed in.

True, but even those have some sort of process, arbitrary or not that has some form of voting. I'll grant you, for the most part they're the equivalent of like the Miss Teen USA pageant or something.

Can I ask which parts were confirmed? I can see where Moolah was ripping them off, but that in itself might be motivation to invent other allegations. Billy Graham is the greatest example of when you mess with his income, he'll say anything and everything against you.
