If Sheldon Cooper were to appear on Raw as a guest and CM Punk did the GTS on him, it would actually get me to cheer for CM Punk.
Seriously.

As to Sheldon, he's a good heel, but he's in Vickie Guerrero territory. I don't want to see him to hate him. I want him to die. No he is not. I do not feel any feelings of lust towards Sheldon Cooper.

Sheldon Cooper is what makes the show. Without him the show would be insanely mediocre or bad

When I first started to watch the show (which, let's face it, we all started watching for the geek/nerd things and for Kaley Cuoco), he was very off-putting. I didn't get it at first, and it took the course of the whole first season to really warm up to him.
He's a character you need to evolve with. Like he actually said in last week's episode about NCIS, you can't come in at episode #248 (or whatever) and immediately "get it." I enjoy him a LOT more now. I think it's been a while since he's been truly great (season 2-3 is him at his best, and then the Sheldon/Amy pairing is pretty fascinating as its own thing) but he certainly has his moments.

Sheldon Cooper is what makes the show. Without him the show would be insanely mediocre or bad I don't want him gone, I just want 'original' Sheldon back. The guy we saw in the pilot and first short run. He's been regressing as a character ever since.

Wait Sheldon doesn't have Aspergers?! I....hmmm.....this entire time I thought he did have it. It was the only way I could logically explain how he struggled with human interaction but excelled at an academic level.

I'm a big fan of the show and I like Sheldon just fine. My problem with him is lack of character development. You would think that 7 seasons in he'd move beyond being such a social retard. Granted he's made some advances but not nearly enough. Honestly, it all comes down to him needing to tame Amy's strange. That may just snap him out of himself a bit. Also, while I'm on the BBT subject, the laugh track needs to go away period. It didn't bother me so much in the first few seasons but it has gotten intollerable. We get it, they're making jokes. How about we laugh at them at our own discretion.

My dorm mate is Sheldon Cooper... if Sheldon Cooper was a dirty slob who spits on the floor and doesn't take a shower.

I know a lot of nerdy comic book guys who are exactly like Sheldon just with the volume turned way down.
One of my friends from high school went full blown World Of Warcraft nerd. I don't see him anymore but the times I did he was slightly OCD, Refused to do anything social and his interest in social relationships was mediocre at best.
Psychologically I think that type of thing stems from the nerds being picked on in high school so they're bitter and hate everyone and now nerds are cool and they don't know how to cope.
As for Sheldon, he's an okay character if you have someone in your life to relate him to.

Sheldon is annoying but he does have his moments where I laugh, I still think Howard and Bernadette are the best characters though.

To me, he's just like Steve Urkel. He started out as an entertaining character, got really popular, then they made him so over the top you just can't stand to watch him.

If you don't like Sheldon I dunno how you can like the show. Without him it'd suck and probably never make it past the first season.

I have tried watching the show a few times and never laughed. But most modern USA sitcoms don't work for me.

My fiance likes the show, I just think it's ok. Though it does remind me a lot of a show I really liked, Third Rock from the Sun. Sheldon Cooper is their Dick Solomon. Immensely intelligent, socially awkward with a really high opinion of himself.
The only difference is that there was a clear reason for Dick's douchery because he was an alien, and not having lived on earth was clearly not accustomed to our culture.

I know self-described nerds or whatever have a real problem with the show, but if you're like me and don't give a shit about comic books or Star Wars or Star Trek or almost anything anything they obsess over, you're all those characters to me when you try to explain them.
It's a good show and I have all the DVDs and watch every week. My only real complaint is now they've doubled the amount of main characters almost and the stories don't always get the attention they should have if they weren't telling 4 stories at once. It's not like Seinfeld where scenes are a minute long and the story bangs out and about 10 things happened, they carry on certain aspects too long. They finally seem to be pulling Penny away from being Kelly Bundy, which she was close to becoming and the last couple episodes she's starting to become herself again.

Yeah,I didn't give it a chance until about 6 months ago and the main reason I was turned off was because of that f***er.I enjoy the show, but I still don't like his character or his face...give the show another shot.

Bernadette's father would disagree with you, and kick your tail for even suggesting Sheldon is unlikeable.

I like the show and the character myself For me the whole point of the character is that's he appears to be douche because he doesn't function as a normal person. I'm sure I read somewhere that Jim Parsons said he believes the character has Aspergers. The creators say that he doesn't but at the very least we can all agree he's not a normal person. And watching him struggle to understand how others function and attempting to ape that behaviour himself at times is part of why I like him I'm pretty sure it was the fans who brought up the whole Sheldon could have Aspergers and Jim Parsons looked it up and said it could be possibility but writers said he doesn't. Didn't the same thing happened with Abed from Community where Harmon disagrees he has Aspergers but Pudi believes he does?

If you don't like Sheldon I dunno how you can like the show. Without him it'd suck and probably never make it past the first season. I dunno about that. Just this past episode, the scenes without Sheldon were, by far, the ones I found the funniest, namely Leonard's trying (and failing miserably) to be a supportive boyfriend - and not even in the "geeky" sense, but in a "shades of Ross Gellar" sense. Another note: How the hell are Amy and Stuart, who've only been recurring characters for the past couple of years, more developed characters than one of the marquee main characters?
