Loch Ness and Bigfoot were the ones I loved as a kid, and the ones that were the hardest to let go of when I realized there was virtually no reason to believe either exist.

My favorite, and the one that had some of the weakest counter-arguments, was the Hopskinville Goblin incident. Not saying "this one hundred percent totally happened as the witnesses said", far from it, but it is a much more interesting case than most of them, which are way easier to explain away.

Easily the chupacabra. I always think it's a shame when someone says they found one or have a picture and it always turns otu to be a raccoon with mange.

I've always been partial to sea monsters, sea serpents in particular. It's pretty cool to imagine what the oceans could be hiding, just beneath the surface...
Also, another Loch Ness Monster fan here. I know it can't possibly exist, but the idea of a lake monster is a fun one anyway.

I have a long time interest in the Mothman sightings. There are some crypto cases you read about and can just tell its bull-and at first Mothman sounds like that. But I actually find the case has some strong plausibility because the sightings happened during a short period of time, lasting only about two years, and also in a very enclosed area-and all the witnesses generally agreed about the description of what they saw. Not a lot of other cryptids cases can claim that.
I'm also really interested in the flying humanoid reports from Mexico. The fact that so much of the footage really doesn't have an easy explanation just makes it that much cooler.

How about the Enfield Horror? Big pink glowing eyes, got shot by one guy, attacked a child across town, got spotted by a handful of investigators, and was never seen again. Yeah, I think the Mothman is particularly fascinating. The Jersey Devil is easy to explain away because it sounds extremely similar to a dramatized Hammer-headed bat. Nessie and most other sea monsters are easily confused with large fish and the like. Bigfoot skeptics generally dismiss it as mass-hoaxing. But how do you hoax something like the Mothman? The most popular explanation is a sandhill crane, but I don't know how you can confuse a crane for a near-eight-foot-tall, broad-shouldered monstrosity. Even with its wings spread, a crane is still way too short to match the description.

Wasn't the point that Slender Man only targeted children? Then wouldn't you probably be fine?
