became a damn good actor. No one in 1991 saw that coming. It'd be like if Sir Mix a Lot became an action hero, or Snow starring in crime dramas, or maybe Gerardo in a romantic comedy where he pretends to be rich and smooth, but it's his heart that eventually wins the leading lady over.
Marky Mark. It's a funny ol world.

His brother is a good actor as well. But I would have never pictured it for either of them his brother went from New Kids to some good movies.

You see, the opposite is true to me, because I grew up with Wahlberg being an actor, and I didn't find out until years later that he was a rapper before making it on the big screen.

I don't know if I can agree with this. Yes, he's been in some good movies, but is he a good actor? MAX F***ING PAYNE. That should really be all I need to say. ...he was good in The Departed, I'll admit. And honestly, I haven't seen a lot of movies with Marky Mark. But I'll never call him a good actor because of Max Payne.

Yeah same goes for me though I guess the same goes just in reverse, it was mind-blowing finding out that Mark Whalberg was a rapper at some point, even more mind-blowing was the fact I liked some of his stuff.

His comedy work should solidify his status as a good actor. He's mesmerizing in The Other Guys.

It'd be like if Sir Mix a Lot became an action hero. Dude, he did become an action hero. You just weren't paying attention. He's set to be in the Expendables 7.

I have to respectfully disagree.
Wahlberg can do a couple of things pretty well in terms of the types of characters he plays, but he's not exactly a great actor.

He peaked with Fear.
Since then he's had Max Payne and The Happening. He's got angry Boston dude down, but otherwise is nothing to write home about.

I mean, his face is already based off him, and he's in the freaking movie, Ludacris says to some corrupt dude "This is what a real cop looks like!" as he arrests him! It's like they knew it would be terrible!

After seeing these two and their little dance at 1:47 it's hard to believe they now play some of the biggest bad asses on TV.
Jerome is the mercenary Bronn in Game of Thrones and a Victorian ex-military bare knuckle fighting cop in Ripper Street. Robson was a cage-fighting vampire-hunting werewolf and is now head of a special ops unit.

Yeah, I wouldn't call him a great actor. If he sticks to his niche of angry or immature douchebaggy Bostonian he can work but he seems to think he's some sort of believable hero. The previews for Lone Survivor look to be some of the hammiest acting this side of Nic Cage running from bees.

Who said great?
I said damn good, and that goes with fitting into his niche. He's a damn good comedic actor who can occasionally give ya a lil more.
Never said he was Olivier, just that it's into that "Feel it, Feel it", can give ya something like The Fighter

Snow should star in a crime drama. He could be a...wait for it...informer.
And yeah, Marky Mark is okay. There certainly was no reason to suspect that he would be capable of such a thing in '91. He was just some bro with abs that made people want to dance.

You could've cast Robert De Niro as Maxx and that movie still would've sucked, doesn't mean he didn't also make Raging Bull.
