This is fascinating to me. I wonder if Bryan is just thinking "f*** it" and saying whatever he wants. Cuz what are they gonna do, fire him? The backlash would be insane. If they fire him, that puts their hottest star on the market for every other promotion on the planet and they know it.

No secret that I think Daniel Bryan is overrated and unentertaining. I personally feel the choice of Batista (Who is now a MOVIE STAR with cross over appeal) is a lot better than having 5'9 200 pound Daniel Bryan in the main event of Wrestlemania 30 Everyone saying they're done with the company will be back in time for Wrestlemania and the WWE knows this. As someone who hasn't watched WWE full time since 2006 I personally would like to congratulate them on a good show and a smart booking decision. I will watch Wrestlemania also. Kudos WWE. Kudos. Two questions. 1. How does Batista have crossover appeal? The dude was in some shitty direct to DVD movies. Daniel Bryan got shout outs on ESPN. 2. Who cares about his height? Will a guys height make you not buy the show? Is it ridiculously hard to believe that a small fighter could be skilled enough to fight larger fighters and win? On your second point, it's unreal that people still believe small guys aren't believable in combat or combat entertainment in the post HBK, Royce Gracie era.

This is WWE's GAB 91 moment, except in this case they actually Flair in the back and aren't sending him out. How lucky are we that Great American Bash is every week these days.

"Daniel, go tweet right away to let everyone know its a story! Because it being a story makes it ok that we're ignoring our fans and giving them Batista as the headlining act instead of the most crowd pleasing star we've had in over a decade!"

They can still shoehorn Daniel Bryan into some sort of triple threat match. There are two-plus months until WrestleMania.

But I don't know why the WWE does this to their fans. It's really peculiar. My theory? Because they can. There's no competition. They're like drug dealers. They know you really want to quit, but you're hooked. And they're the only dealer in town, so you're just going to have to come back and take their shitty product.

Im probably going way over the top but i can see the company burying or even releasing Bryan in the near future just to spite us. They dont want us to cheer for him, they dont want him main eventing pay per views, they dont want him anywhere near the WWE title picture. That has been shown to be the case. Yes hes on tv often, but its because they have no choice with the crowd chanting for him. They will probably punish us for booing Batista now. Ridiculous. They wouldn't replay footage of people cheering if they didn't want us to cheer for him. That said, even I have to say that this was bullshit. You have an awesome match and a perfect setup for "Daniel Bryan is hurt but pulls it together to win the Royal Rumble!". It's stupid how easy it would've been. But no, Batista just HAD to win because WWE just had to bring him back. I don't usually call bullshit on something, but that was just awful for everyone involved. It didn't do Batista any favors because nobody wanted him, it didn't do Roman Reigns any favors because you could tell he was the crowd's "plan B", and it didn't do Daniel Bryan any favors because he didn't accomplish anything tonight.

Gonna post this in here and re-post it in the Rumble thread:
To people saying that they are done with this company, by all means, take a break. Start reading on Monday nights, take up a new hobby, discover something about yourself. Just get away from the product for a few months. I promise you this shit is not worth getting stressed over.
It may seem hard if you watch wrestling all the time but it can be done. Trust me, when/if you start watching a few months from now, you'll feel a lot better.

Could that be because you, admittedly, don't watch WWE? Watched his match tonight. Decent wrestling match but as a sports entertainer I don't like him. Anyone who dislikes Daniel Bryan is called an attention seeker or idiot so maybe it was wrong to post my opinion but a legitimate movie star definitely will draw more interest and money for Wrestlemania rather then giving the fans Daniel Bryan right now. I apologize if Im off base herel, but you seem to be trolling hard here. Your comparison is like saying "They should keep pushing Bret Hart because he was on the Simpsons and Lonesome Dove and has crossover appeal, and just because the crowd pops hard for Austin doesn't mean hes best for business"

Can I just say something? WWE constantly does this to the fans. Every single year some big troll job happens and everybody loses their shit. Vince is, for better or for worse, the greatest troll of all time.

I look at like this. The WWE has no excuse for this. That was not an aberration. These crowds are telling you exactly what they want. They are making it as clear as they can. They've been doing it for almost two years. And yet in spite of their obvious and very clear demands, this company is being stubborn. Plain and simple. And here is Batista. A man who hasn't even wrestled a single match since 2010, just casually shows up the week before the Royal Rumble, enters at 27 and wins the battle royal in about 12 minutes and is now MAIN EVENTING their biggest PPV of the year. It's mind boggling how short-sighted and downright antagonizing this company can sometimes be to their own fans. The crowd shit on Orton and Cena tonight. The sad thing is that I actually feel sympathetic for them. They're doing what is asked of them by the people at the top. What are they supposed to do? I don't know if this is a watershed moment for this company. That crowd reacted in a way I hadn't seen before. They were venomous towards these wrestlers, who really didn't deserve the scorn. The only way you're get this company to feel your scorn is by not paying to watch the WWE. Not going to their live events. Not buying their merchandise. Not ordering the WWE Network. Because quite honestly, why would Vince or anyone else care that the fans are booing? You already paid for your ticket. You already bought the PPV. They're clearly banking on their fans forgiving and forgetting the next time they're in town. Or in four weeks at Elimination Chamber when they toss you a bone like putting Bryan in the chamber match for the title. But I don't know why the WWE does this to their fans. It's really peculiar. Probably the best post regarding this.

It's fine if you don't enjoy Bryan, but he is currently the most over guy on the roster (top 3, at least, if you find that debatable). If you did watch WWE, you would see that. I'd say most over guy in the business.

Raw is in Cleveland tomorrow night. And if watching Heat-Cavaliers games have taught me anything, it's that Cleveland fans can be venomous, vile, brutal people. It could get interesting.

They can still shoehorn Daniel Bryan into some sort of triple threat match. There are two-plus months until WrestleMania. Indeed they could. And there's still Elimination Chamber and plenty of episodes of Raw to get Daniel Bryan in the main event. Just sucks that they missed an easy opportunity here.

I........what?
They actually did it?
They......they actually went through with Batista winning, and Bray Wyatt wins the feud with Daniel Bryan to go on to fight Cena at 'Mania.
............................well, SummerSlam brought me back in, and in spite of what was obvious IN AUGUST, I kept watching every week since hoping something would change.
Thanks for breaking me, WWE.
AGAIN.
I'm done.
Hell, I might not even get the Network now. What's the point? I don't want to give this company any money right now.
