Everyone crying out foul that Bryan wasn't in the event are either delusional or just blantantly looking for a reason to complain. He said it outright, in the weeks leading up to the event and the one that preceded it directly - he was NOT going to be in the match. I understand that people were hoping that it was a swerve, but it wasn't - and the idea should've been planted in from that point on... Now Bats winning it sucks chode - no arguing that. Only good thing to come out of this Rumble was Reigns reigning supreme. You're right in that WWE really set no expectation that Daniel Bryan was either winning or gonna take part in the Royal Rumble, but at the same time the unfortunate nature of pro wrestling is no matter how out of their way they went to brace us that Daniel Bryan wouldn't be there. It's really hard to argue, especially now that it's over and all we have is hindsight that it was his time to win the Rumble and finally get cracking with getting him up there in the main event. I don't know if it's a matter of WWE not having an eye for this, or know what the people want and are actively fighting against it, but they made a mistake on this one.

I'm not buying a WWE PPV let alone one they charge $70 for to see Batista/Orton end the show. IMO any match with either of those two guys is a skippable match anyway.

Looking back, it would've made all the sense in the world for Del Rio for #30. For once he'd have actually gotten some heat. Don't know why they threw Mysterio to the wolves. As an unapologetic Mysterio anti-fan, I thought it was hilarious.

This is fascinating to me. I wonder if Bryan is just thinking "f*** it" and saying whatever he wants. Cuz what are they gonna do, fire him? The backlash would be insane.

No secret that I think Daniel Bryan is overrated and unentertaining. I personally feel the choice of Batista (Who is now a MOVIE STAR with cross over appeal) is a lot better than having 5'9 200 pound Daniel Bryan in the main event of Wrestlemania 30 Everyone saying they're done with the company will be back in time for Wrestlemania and the WWE knows this. As someone who hasn't watched WWE full time since 2006 I personally would like to congratulate them on a good show and a smart booking decision. I will watch Wrestlemania also. Kudos WWE. Kudos. EDIT: Also, if that Twitter above is indeed Daniel Bryans what an unprofessional guy. He shouldn't even talk about those chants. Aww he seems like a nice guy. I bet he gives people a cumbination of autographs and photographs free of charge.

Two questions. 1. How does Batista have crossover appeal? The dude was in some shitty direct to DVD movies. Daniel Bryan got shout outs on ESPN. 2. Who cares about his height? Will a guys height make you not buy the show? Is it ridiculously hard to believe that a small fighter could be skilled enough to fight larger fighters and win?

I'm not the biggest Daniel Bryan fan, but it is indisputable he is the most over guy in the company by a nautical mile.

Watched his match tonight. Decent wrestling match but as a sports entertainer I don't like him. Anyone who dislikes Daniel Bryan is called an attention seeker or idiot so maybe it was wrong to post my opinion but a legitimate movie star definitely will draw more interest and money for Wrestlemania rather then giving the fans Daniel Bryan right now.

When MICK FOLEY is speculating WWE hates its audience, you know that a shitty decision's been made. Bryan should've won, and for him to not even be in it is a slap in the face to everyone who's a fan of Daniel Bryan.

I look at like this.
The WWE has no excuse for this. That was not an aberration. These crowds are telling you exactly what they want. They are making it as clear as they can. They've been doing it for almost two years. And yet in spite of their obvious and very clear demands, this company is being stubborn. Plain and simple.
And here is Batista. A man who hasn't even wrestled a single match since 2010, just casually shows up the week before the Royal Rumble, enters at 27 and wins the battle royal in about 12 minutes and is now MAIN EVENTING their biggest PPV of the year. It's mind boggling how short-sighted and downright antagonizing this company can sometimes be to their own fans.
The crowd shit on Orton and Cena tonight. The sad thing is that I actually feel sympathetic for them. They're doing what is asked of them by the people at the top. What are they supposed to do?
I don't know if this is a watershed moment for this company. That crowd reacted in a way I hadn't seen before. They were venomous towards these wrestlers, who really didn't deserve the scorn. The only way you're get this company to feel your scorn is by not paying to watch the WWE. Not going to their live events. Not buying their merchandise. Not ordering the WWE Network.
Because quite honestly, why would Vince or anyone else care that the fans are booing? You already paid for your ticket. You already bought the PPV. They're clearly banking on their fans forgiving and forgetting the next time they're in town. Or in four weeks at Elimination Chamber when they toss you a bone like putting Bryan in the chamber match for the title.
But I don't know why the WWE does this to their fans. It's really peculiar.

I sincerely hope that everybody that says "I'm done" means it. The only way to vote is with your wallets. I'm streaming everything, including Raw, from now on. f*** this company, I refuse to give them a legitimate viewer or PPV number. can't talk about streams here.

This is WWE's GAB 91 moment, except in this case they actually Flair in the back and aren't sending him out.
