"Who's #30?!?!"
3... 2... 1...
*silence*
"I'VE GOT SOME BAD NEWS!"
Why this didn't happen is a mystery to me. Would have been such an epic moment of heat. Instead, they sent out a babyface (one who deserves a hell of a lot better after everything he's done in wrestling) to get torn apart by the fans.

I'm moving house on Tuesday for six months, house sitting for my sister. There is no satellite or cable TV, and what happened tonight was to be the deciding factor as to whether I get hooked up or not. Needless to say, I will not now be getting cable/satellite and will not have the option to watch. ....have you ever heard of the internet? Internet in that area is a hair above dial-up speeds. It's in the middle of bumf***-nowhere.

Oh man, imagine if BNB ROSE THROUGH THE RING MAT ON HIS BAD NEWS BUGGY after the Rumble Match and gave them all the bad news that Daniel Bryan lost......TO BRAY WYATT EARLIER IN THE NIGHT.

I guess they thought he could calm the reaction but no way. No one is that over. Your idea would have been great. "You're not getting your Daniel Bryan tonight!"

OK, I've been sitting here on my bed for an hour or so in contemplation, like I usually do when booking goes awry. I'm afraid that I might have to temporarily break my vow of positivity to maintain honesty. Normally, I'm a chill guy, and WWE has its place in the priorities of my life, which is not that high. That said, I won't lie... It hurts. It hurts to see a guy I support, one of the few that I've actually thrown support behind financially and one that I can clearly see that the majority of fans are also supporting, seemingly not getting the opportunities he deserves, be it through stubborness, ignorance, malice or some combination of all three. And it's now getting to the point where it's starting to hurt the rest of the roster. I have never had much of an opinion about Rey Mysterio one way or the other, but I have never felt so bad for him as when he came out at #30 and the penny dropped that Bryan wasn't even in the match. Rey Mysterio shouldn't have to burn for WWE's booking, and neither should anyone else on the roster. But it's getting to that point. Bryan will go on. He's been struck down again and will become even more powerful than we can possibly imagine AGAIN. But I'm not sure if many here will go on. I'm not sure if I will go on. People actually upping and walking away might be the only message that gets through to them that things need to change. And for real this time. I'm torn. Torn between wanting to support Daniel Bryan and no longer wanting to support WWE. I get why they brought back the Rock. Brock Lesnar. The Undertaker having his big Mania match every year. But BATISTA!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? HOW COULD YOU STOOP THAT LOW!?

I mean, yeah, it does suck that Rey got the brunt of it for something he had no control over, you can tell it's going to happen, it probably would have been better to let a heel get that heat instead of forcing it on someone else.

Mania is Mania, it will make it's money regardless, what matters to them in the long term is getting people to care about what happens after Mania, in my opinion, THAT'S when you strap the rocket to Bryan's ass and give him the belt. This is exactly what I expected to read when I mentioned it 6 months ago. Sure, Mania is Mania...but why in the hell didn't they just strap the rocket to Bryan then? He could have had a decent reign and dropped it before the Rumble. No one would have a f***ing problem with it. Instead, they teased people with shit that they never delivered. The rocket should have already been strapped on and launched. I don't give a f*** about what WWE plans to do after Mania, because all they're doing is trying to make their most over character less and less relevant with their attempts to cash in on prior successes. If you really think that with Sheamus now back, Batista in a title program, along with Orton, Cena, Punk, Del Rio, a Reigns waiting in the shadows, that they're going to do something with Bryan NOW? Give me a break! Bryan had the perfect PERFECT opportunity after Summerslam. No old stars. Several big ones out with injuries, and he was the only guy who was rising. That was their rocket moment. WWE purposely blew their rocket up upon ignition.

Bad News Barrett at #30 would have been such a 'f*** you' to the fans that I really wish that they had done it. I doubt that it would even be possible to hate that, I would have laughed myself stupid.

I must be the only one who's actually happy we'll likely be getting the match we expected Bryan to be having at Mania about eight months ago.
I'm hoping we get Bryan VS. Corporate Kane, Bryan goes over on Kane in possibly Kane's final match before he retires.

The reason you got piled on SOR isn't cuz of a wrong opinion. That's disingenuous. No one said you had to like Daniel Bryan; what got people's goats (no pun intended) was that intentionally or not, you were trolling a bit with the whole "kudos to WWE for a good booking decision" and whatnot. You know what you were doing there and that it would rile people up. I'm not trying to start anything here, really I'm not; but it seems like it's not possible for us few Bryan detractors express our feelings without coming across as trolling. Ir's easy to see why considering how many people love the guy, but I honestly feel like I can't express my opinion without being hounded on.

Ir's easy to see why considering how many people love the guy, but I honestly feel like I can't express my opinion without being hounded on. In your case, there are two reasons: 1: You constantly remind us how much you dislike him, even in appreciation threads. As if you want to be known as the resident Bryan hater. 2: You can sometimes be antagonistic. In this thread, for example, you could have simply said "I'm not a fan of Daniel Bryan, so him not being in the Rumble doesn't bother me that much." Instead, you wrote "I laughed."

It's easy enough to debate the merits of any wrestler you don't care for without being smug about it. I'm not accusing you or SOR or anyone of that really, I'm just speaking generally here. I will agree with you that people get too knee-jerk the other way as well.

You could easily have had Orton lose to belt to Brock in the Chamber, and have Bryan win the Rumble. Brock Lesnar vs. Daniel Bryan, two great wrestlers in a fresh match-up. .

More often than not, you express your feelings in such an over the top way that it honestly comes off like you were writing it specifically to piss people. This board is pretty understanding. Some people take shit way too far but show respect when posting and people will respect your opinions in turn. When you're going on about how bad Daniel Bryan fans are, it comes off as hostile.
