They will actually set the record for longest consecutive weekly run of premiere episodes of the show this season... Haven't had a break at all since the start of the season in late November.

Anyone else heard about the rumor that the whole Michael thing might be a hoax/scram.

1.) His last name happen to be Morones, remove the es and you get Moron.

2.) He happen to look alot like Mitchell Henderson, another kid who commit suicide and started the whole "An Hero" meme

3.) There been a lot of inconsistencies about the story and this post on reddit summons it up.

There's a few thoughts I had in mind regarding this recovery fund. I hope I do not come off as a soulless jerk, but I really felt I needed to state my opinions on what seems to be (less so on reddit but more so on other brony communities) a herd mentality run amok. My thoughts both question the intent we have as a community in supporting this, as well as look into a few... inconsistencies that are leading me to believe this recovery fund isn't entirely what we think it is.

First, there is the issue of if the money the fandom is throwing into this is actually worth it, or if we really could be directing the money to some places that would better use the funds. I feel like Bronies throwing tens of thousands of dollars for a child's medical bills is not solving a problem, its putting a band-aid on the symptom. I'd feel much more comfortable if there were donation drives for organizations meant to combat bullying and prevent suicide. Brain damage is irreversible. From the information we know so far, I do not believe Michael will be returning to any sort of normal brain function, and I personally do not believe it is a high-impact use of charity funds to pay for the life support of a vegetative person. I feel we really could use the funds we're raising for something much more impacting in the long run. I encourage anyone who is thinking of donating to educate themselves on what "severe brain damage" really is. It's not something you generally make a full recovery from.

Second, there has been a few worrying inconsistencies in the story and in how his family is handling this problem. Recently uncovered was a facebook post from one of the Morones family friends who revealed that Michael did not attempt suicide because of bullying from school, but because he got in a fight with his older brother.

I know this isn't like me. But please send all your prayers to Michael, Chris's stepson. Last night he got in a fight with his brother, and tried to kill himself. Michael is 11 years old. He's a wonderful sweet, smart outgoing boy. I love him. I love Chris's other stepchildren. Ethan's step-brothers. I might complain about Chris and be envious of his family sometimes. But the truth is I love them all very much. So please pray for Chris, Tiffany, Angel, Xavier and especially Michael. He's in ICU and they don't know if he's going to make it. Please pray.

There is some other speculation regarding that his family may be inflating the story and trying to "play the right notes" for the fandom to sympathize, with our thoughts and money. However, they are speculative and not entirely conclusive, so I do not wish to state them right now. Its just that not everything is adding up, and his family is trying to hammer hard how much of a brony Michael was, possibly to replicate the same support the Kiki Havivy fundraiser had.

Third I have a bit more commentary on the fandom's support for this. It seems like some folks have been shaming groups and organizations for not taking part in this. This is not right at all. I've known many people are feeling very skeptical about this fundraiser in light of recent evidence. I'll keep this condensed, but I had my reasons for not taking part in the Kiki fundraiser because I did not believe the fundraising for her alternative medicine impacts would have any effect, nor do I believe in sending my condolences and feelings in the form of monetary donation for (alternative) medicine bills. I feel this is more or less becoming the same deal. I'm also speculating some more entrepreneurial bronies are trying to get a bit of attention or fandom fame by latching themselves onto this fund, or see it is a great boost to PR.

Overall, these are my thoughts on this. Overall, I hope that somehow, Michael is able to make a full recovery and that this situation gets resolved. I respect the sentiment of the fandom and it's great good will and intent. I'm just advising you all look into this with some critical thought first.

Remember, sending your sympathies and sending monetary donations are different things. Be vigilant.

5.) According to the donate page, Mitchael's parents ask the MLP fandom for donation for help for Michael's Medical Expenses. It seem odd they well ask a bunch of strangers instead of asking friend and family or their local town first.

6.) The person who sit up the donate page live in UK and never been to North Carolina but told two story that don't add up. First she calm she talk the parent through skype then second she calm she talk to the parent at the hospital.

7.) There two different story on why he try to comment suicide, First story was he got bully for being a brony then another family member calm it was because he got into a fight with brother.

There more points I can make but if you want to dig around, you can find more stuff that make this whole thing fishy. Just because something involved MLP doesn't mean you have to take it as face fact.

Bon Bon's caramel-covered candy bombs proved to be a successful incentive, leading her team to a 3:0 victory against Sweetie Belle.

Bon Bon: I always knew those bombs were really good. I am currently making an extra batch for my players, they really deserved it!

Sweetie Belle: I lost again. I don't know what to do, it seems my team has completely lost me. I don't know if I ever can get my cutie mark with this...*bawls*


Pinkie's team recovered from their recent string of misfires, beating Rarity with 2:1.

Pinkie Pie: WOOHOO! I made sure to mix the right amount of sugar this time and it worked! From now on, I'll make sure no mishaps ever happen again!

Rarity: Oh well, I guess the energetic performance today was just too much for my delicate player darlings. But there are other places to get points from.


Lyra's obsession with humans continues to pay dividends, causing her to win against Rainbow Dash with 2:1.

Lyra: OH YEAH! Score one for the blue one! And this mare will continue to go all the way to the top!

Rainbow Dash: What in the hay did those lazy idiots do again this time, embarrassing me like this?! I should put it up to 23 1/2 hour training sessions this week!


Princess Celestia had no problem with finishing off her niece, winning against Cadance with 3:1.

Princess Celestia: My niece still has a lot to learn going by her team's performance. I am proud though of my own team and the spirit they showed. They will go a long way.

Princess Cadance: Today's game was not very lovely. And it was against my auntie even! I think I will be a little more strict with my lovelies this week...


Applejack continues her upswing, defeating Carrot Top with 2:0.

Applejack: HEEYAW! Dat felt good! Just a wee more and mah team is back on track in de upper rankings! Feel a bit sorry for Carrot though...

Carrot Top: I am used to mishaps like this happening. As long as my team continues to strive forward, I will never lose faith in my vegetarian diet plan again. There's always next week!

I found your reaction to this episode fascinating, MD, because I had the same kind of reaction at first... but not to Cheese Sandwich. Instead, I couldn't really get into it because of the whole plot being centered around how awesome Rainbow Dash was (not that she isn't, but it was really overwhelming this time). It was almost like how people thought it'd be all the time after Twilight got her wings, but instead of Twilight it was Rainbow Dash.

I know I said my score was an 8, but that was really a 7.5 rounded up.

They've posted pics of him in the hospital with lots of MLP toys and merch, and there appears to be more sources confirming it to be legit.
