Already commented on that Twilight convo. Asking her if she is not gonna help the great and powerful Cheese Sandwich in his party planning as if she were just another townspony and not...uhm, you know...the one who originally wanted to plan the party for Rainbow Dash?

And I can buy Twilight not getting the finer communication in "Look Before You Sleep" because she was still inexperienced in friendship. But I expect Season 4 Twilight to be able to be a little more attentive to the mixed signals her friends send.

I'll have to agree for slightly different reasons. If Cheese claimed Pinkie was his idol, he should have come back for her, wanting her to plan the festivities with him. Let Pinkie be selfish at first (leading to the goof-off) and play the rest out as normal.

Twilight never specifically state that Pinkie would help setting up the decorations. She could have meant for Pinkie to assist Cheese Sandwich with the planning, which is what everyone thought was gonna happen in the first place.

As for Cheese Sandwich not going back, it was either stick with planning a party for the whole town or break away from his busy schedule go back and help one pony. Sometimes you gotta go with the greater good.

Referring to the first part, I don't disagree that everypony thought that Pinkie and Cheese would do it together...then Cheese busts out his song making him out to be the Party Jesus leading everypony to completely forget about Pinkie.

And this quote perfectly sums it up: "My birth-iversary's already looking way cooler! You are my kind of party pony, Cheese Sandwich." (not like that other lame one, right, Dashie?)

Notice the "-er" part in "cooler", meaning that she's enjoyed Pinkie's previous parties (say that 3 times fast).
