Maybe they can sign Kenta, since Punk's style was inspired from him. And then they can give him a big makeover, and he becomes CM Punk. And they can just say Punk never left, or he did leave on a vacation and trained in Japan a little and for some reason Heyman is the manager once again and speaks for him and says that Punk doesn't need to talk to any of you.

I don't know if this has been posted or not, and I know "card is subject to change, blah blah blah", but I was on the way home from class just now, and I got a radio ad for the final Raw before WrestleMania advertising a main event of Cena, Batista, and CM Punk against Kane, Bray Wyatt and.....someone else I unfortunately can't remember.
So even though it sounds pretty cut and dry at this point that it's real.....might still be a work, guys.

Man I've just been looking through this thread since the morning...and wow.
WWE is in a weird time. I don't want to say they're dying because that's just dumb. But all the plans they have? They've really got to have some f***ing forsight about their plans and if that's going to royaly piss off your talent.

No Punk means more of the show to fast forward through.

*Rings CM Punk's doorbell at 3 am*
"Hey Phil! Heard on the internet you were leaving, think you could sign these for old times sake?"
*drops like 600 WWE products on doorstep"

I can't really see Punk, at his age and with the injury mileage he's got on him, having any real great success in MMA.
I could be wrong, I just don't see it.

They've really got to have some f***ing forsight about their plans and if that's going to royaly piss off your talent. I feel the same way. It's like they're in some kind of war, but with what exactly I'm not certain. Losing the live show battle clearly, but winning in stocks. I get the sense that they've made a lot of poor decisions, put too many people in the wrong positions, and just generally not run good business backstage, and now it's all coming down on them. Maybe they're at war with change? The smark crowds have always been around, but not everywhere like now. Plans are leaked online with disturbing accuracy long before shows happen. It could be the old model of doing things just won't work anymore, and they're fighting the change as hard as they can.

I don't like the sound of that health thing. Blood work combined with MRIs means they were checking organs in his torso or his brain. :/

He would be a great commentator Certainly. That or as Madison mentioned a trainer I could see. Commentating is a great idea given his knowledge and obvious passion.

Wonder what WWE will look like 5 years from now... Hell 2 years from now...
Really scary if their business plan from now on is to rely on old talent to push the product for a certain amount of months.

Blood work combined with MRIs means they were checking organs in his torso or his brain. :/ Could be general testing for things since he's in his mid thirties and such; especially if he has a family history of things. For example, I'm his age now, and have had two aunts die of colon cancer, so it won't be long before it'll be smart for me to be prudent and get testing of that sort done on a just in case basis.

if it is true and he is gone then farewell Punk. Thanks for the memories! I can't really see Punk, at his age and with the injury mileage he's got on him, having any real great success in MMA. I could be wrong, I just don't see it. I don't either. I could see him going into it as a trainer or something, but not as an active competitor. i don't think he sees it either. Just probably entertaining the idea for funzies.

I'm sure some Viacom exec is rubbing his grubby little hands together anyway. That's true, and there probably is some money to be had there. It just seems really iffy for a guy that once had a skull fracture to attempt actual combat. As was stated, he's probably not seriously considering it, it just seems like even theoretically a really bad idea.
