On the bright side, there is now a main event slot open for Zack Ryder Didn't you read? CM Punk is good with his money, he wasn't gambling on those Main Event Slot Machines like Zack Ryder probably has to since he's never booked

The only other thing that makes me feel that this is a work, is that the WWE has not come out and confirmed it on their website. I know that's not saying much, but usually if they release someone, especially someone of this caliber, they'd have it on their webpage.

Wonder what WWE will look like 5 years from now... Hell 2 years from now... Really scary if their business plan from now on is to rely on old talent to push the product for a certain amount of months. They've already started this motto, it's been going on for the past three years and I don't see them stopping any time soon. That really scares me and is so unfair to all of the talent who bust their ass nearly 300 days a year. I think they'll find out that not every Joe Blow from Attitude Era/2004/New Generation/WCW/ECW can do what The Rock did and waltz in for a Mania main event. Not only is The Rock one of the top 3 biggest stars in professional wrestling history, not only does he have the charisma and ability to make the crowd go apeshit by saying or doing anything, but the entire idea around him was a million buyrate and a huge gate which meant bigger WM checks for all the talent involved in the show. Somebody like Batista though? He was none of those things compared to The Rock. He has none of the nostaliga (he left 3 and a half years ago), none of the drawing power, none of the anything to make up for what's been happening. And if they keep doing this with random stars from yesterday, they'll find out not only does it not work, but you'll have lethargic main eventers that realize there's no point in busting their asses all year when some rando old guy from 10 years ago can main event without doing a thing.

Who would of thought that in 2014 CM Punk would walk as soon as Batista returns after 3 and half years off. If it's true I'd hate to see him in TNA. They would somehow make him come across lame I'm sure.

here, the wwe facebook page comment sections are all kinds of amazing right now. "Who cares. CM Punk isn't in the WWE anymore . All hope is lost for this company now." "Like my Comment if you think they should push Punk to a higher level. Like this so the WWE Can see this!!" "Maybe you should slap your selfs for letting one of your top guys walk out" Oh we're just touching the surface here.

I wouldn't be surprised if they get him to do a run-in to help out Bryan during what I'm sure will be a clusterf*** of a Bryan/HHH match.

If anything, this whole week has pretty much given WWE no choice but to change whatever WrestleMania plans they had prior to the Rumble, if only to avoid another groundswell of negativity on the grand stage of WrestleMania. Which from a business sense may be against what WWE feels is best. Clearly they want to make sure that Batista keeps momentum by putting him immediately into the main event and not doing what they did with RVD by making him feel unimportant almost immediately. But someone's gonna have to sit out unless they REALLY arrange the card, which I don't think is possible at this point What momentum? They basically killed his momentum by having him win the Rumble. He's supposed to be the conquering hero, yet people are and will continue to boo him. They either put Bryan in the main event, or they risk Goldberg/Lesnar type backlash at Wrestlemania.

Yeah and now you just paid a ton of money for Batista to do absolutely nothing

That Daniel Bryan concussion from last week was never reported on WWE.com, and yet, they had Bryan pulled from house show duty and doing minimal work on last week's Raw once cleared for action. I think that proves that just because WWE.com hasn't reported on it yet, doesn't mean it's not necessarily true.
