Superman doesn't have to be anywhere near Jugs. Get up in orbit, and heat vision the immediate area around him to where he sinks deep into the Earths mantle; not unlike how Spider-man buried him in concrete. It won't kill Jugs, but it will definitely incapacitate him. Fights over. There's nothing Juggernaut can do. But it won't hurt him at all, he'll just stand there and laugh at Superman. He's resisted full force optic blasts, D'Spayre and even Thors Godforce. Plus superman won't do that as he cares too much about the people of earth.

Plus superman won't do that as he cares too much about the people of earth. It doesn't have to hurt him, it just has to incapacitate him. Juggernaut been neutralized before many times, being thrown around and trapped in concrete by people either as strong or not as strong as him, so there's no real reason to believe that Superman couldn't do it. His momentum is actually one of the things that can be used against him, because if you get him going and he can't stop it, then he'll just keep going (thanks Newton!). Basically, if Juggernaut ever got moving in space, he'd keep going until he was lucky enough to get in the gravity well of a planet. As far as the people of Earth, guy once performed a lobotomy on Manchester Black through his pupils without hurting anything else, so he has the control to liquefy the ground around him and trap him from a point in the sky that Juggernaut can't possible reach him. It'd be a different scenario if Juggernaut was rampaging through a city, sure, but then it wouldn't be a straight fight in the first place. It all depends on the incarnation of course. Juggernaut would wreck Man of Steel Superman, and maybe new 52 Superman (I don't know his power levels or how smart he's been shown to be), but other than that, Supes would win in pretty much over other scenario, simply due to the fact that Juggernaut can not hit him unless Superman lets him.

And Supes is smart enough that he'd pick a spot where Jugs would be outta the way of people.

Superman. because Superman.
more seriously, though, Gladiator rag-dolled Juggie and he's basically Purple Superman, so there you have it.

Hulk has also lifted it... though he wasn't worthy ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png) anything written by Jeph Loeb doesn't count.

Not sure about that. Sentry is a reality manipulator and Blue Marvel has anti-matter powers, which for me, put them way above Superman. Hyperion and Gladiator are Marvel's main Superman analogues, both being created as that (Hyperion as JLA Supes and Gladiator as LOSH Superboy) Sentry is kind of a chumpass though, and just generally awful. He was also created very specifically to be their new Superman. Marvel seemed to think he'd be the next big thing. I commend Bendis for trying to put over new characters but he really didn't know what to do with Sentry. the guy's characterization was all over the place. it also didn't help that he went from being a bipolar Superman clone to being one of those "do whatever I need him to in order to tell my story" characters. deus ex machinas are almost impossible to write as actual people. Hood was slightly more successful, but he still looked like a chump in the Cabal (mind, so did Osborne).

Superman would beat Juggernaut like the red headed step-child he is.

Sentry never shoulda existed outside of Paul Jenkins pretty good miniseries. Shoulda kept that like a WhatIf/Elseworlds.

Juggy has been drastically depowered.
Unrelated to that, but Captain Universe could wreck superman as well.

Sorry to interrupt the thread, but I have to let my feelings be known. I hate Jeph Loeb's guts. Because of him, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes was canceled. I wish he'd screw up and Marvel would fire his sorry ass.

I don't understand what happened to Loeb. I mean, I've heard the theories that his son dying is when he went off the rails creatively, but he used to be really good. All his teaming with Tim Sale was solid, entertaining work.

All his teaming with Tim Sale was solid, entertaining work. I think what happened was he was never that good to begin with and his artists were more collaborative in the past. then he came back and Joe Quesada said "I won't edit anything you write" because they were friends. basically the empty-headed cronyism the business needs to leave behind.

If Juggernaut got the drop on Supes I could maybe see him mauling Supes into a quick "victory". But I'm big enough where I could maybe take a UFC fighter if I got to coldcock him and keep pounding away before he knew WTF happened, doesn't mean I could handle a UFC fighter in a legit fight. Same way Jug couldn't handle Supes if Supes was ready for him. Supes is similarly strong and tough with speed, flight, and heat-vision thrown-in. Wouldn't even be close.

Pretty sure even the lower ranking X-Men members can defeat Juggernaut.

You know who'd destroy Juggy? Martian Manhunter. He is custom built for Marko.

All his teaming with Tim Sale was solid, entertaining work. I've never read anything of his that I thought was any good except for the stuff that was illustrated by Tim Sale. Once I had that epiphany, I realized that Sale was far more than just a guy drawing Loeb's stories.

I will say I liked Hush, though it was more a "Batman's Greatest Hits" and Jim Lee pencils than anything else.

I doubt DC had any idea that the Jason Todd is Hush moment in the previous issue would go over so well. His eventual real return a couple years later felt flat because the big "Holy shit" moment had already been wasted on "Hush".

By the time Winnick brought him back we'd seen it. Also, Jason/Clayface's Robin suit was badass
