It was originally the "New World Organization"
Yeah, doesn't have the same ring to it.

It was originally the "New World Organization" Yeah, doesn't have the same ring to it. Hogan actually says both 'New World Order' and 'New World Organization' at Bach at the Beach. I think he just got mixed up, but it really didn't make a difference in the long run.

It was originally the "New World Organization" Yeah, doesn't have the same ring to it. Actually, it's proper name was "The New World Organization of Wrestling Brother" but the TNWOOWB shirts didn't look good so they canned it.

I'm sure the NWO name wasn't planned. Gene just gave Hogan the mic and got lucky with one of two names that would stick. Whether he only mentioned the longer form, I'm sure new World order would have been given and would have gotten the same steam out of it.

I learned that the guy who played Sabertooth in X-Men was a wrestler named "Nitron". Had no clue who Nitro was so looked him up online.

He was also "Big Sky", and used to team with Kevin Nash when he was Vinnie Vegas. Loved that team when I was a kid.
I learned that my cats do not care for Right To Censor's theme one bit.

The Godwinns were...not terrible. Two good big ol' hoss brawlers. Gimmick was silly but they were both pretty good.

I don't mind seeing Chris Benoit anymore. Not disgusted, not a fan just indifferent.
Seeing Nancy however breaks my f***ing heart. I can barely watch anything featuring her.

That Disco Inferno turned out to have one of the best matches at BATB 1996 with Dean Malenko.
Sure it's not a patch on Mysterio/Psychosis and it doesn't have the emotion of the main event, but in terms of pure entertainment it was one of the best matches of the night.

That I didn't realize this before, and I can't believe it, but...in 2000-2001, the VEGAS CONNECTION were WCW world tag team champions.

Glad someone besides me remembers that theme. I use it for one of my CAWs. Freebirds running wild and free, you're never gonna put a set of chains on me! Undertaker's most impressive vocal performance since Man in Black. /Dance the Taker!

That the September 27th 1993 RAW was the first time the WWF would use a logo bug in the lower corner of the screen, but for the first week it would be in the right corner and be bigger than what they would use regularly, by the next week it would be in the lower left and be smaller. Also this was the first week they would have their ring apron skirts have the WWF logo on them.

A funny exchange happened at Mania 15 that I never noticed before, after Triple H's heel turn.
Road Dogg: That jackoff is finished! Michael Cole: Road Dogg just said that Triple H is finished! Road Dogg: You heard me, that jackoff!

WCW (or maybe just Jim Ross) were hypocrites. At Bash of the Beach '89 Jim Ross goes on about how they actually wrestle there and don't have "snakes or pets" (obvious shot at WWF) only for Ricky Steamboat to make an entrance later carrying a Komodo dragon. Or as a PWI issue said, "NWA, we wrestle...just after we show you a video of Jim Ross telling Rick Steiner what to do on a date." To continue the thread, let me add: that Scott Dunlop was a better interviewer than Renee Young.

Saliva and Drowning Pool played at WM 18. A lot.
I was there live, too. I don't remember either of them.

I think in the NWO he returned to being Michael Wallstreet... since they already had Vincent to make fun of Vince
