It warms my heart now seeing Rod Trongard calling WWF matches from MSG in October 1988. "LOOK AT 'EM GO!" For me, he's in my Top Three best announcers of all time, just behind Lance Russell & Jim Ross.
Danny Davis can't take a flat-back bump. He always hits feet-first.
People frickin' LOVED Hacksaw Duggan, kids! He was a huge favorite.
Want a great tag match with huge heat? Watch the Harts vs. The Rougeaus. That's old school heat right there.

Andre the Giant really hates Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy if that Battle Royal on WCCW is anything to go by

Francine in ECW was a lot hotter than I gave her credit for back in the day

Jacques Rougeau showed a lot of personality and wit when he was a guest commentator for Monday Night Raw in December of 1993. This was after Bobby Heenan left WWF and they were having a different co-host for Vince every week. You could tell he was just improvising and having a good time.

- Perry Saturn was awesome. I knew he was good, but not like that.
- ECW's "The camera is moving! It's extreme!" Filming style is extremely (no pun intended) distracting.
- Large portions of the Attitude Era, Joel Gertner's schtick and pre-"three faces of Foley" Mankind just don't hold up.
- The Mankind/Undertaker feud was longer than I remember. Same goes with the Austin/Savio Vega feud.
- I never knew how much I hated the full DX intro until I was subjected to it several times a show.
- Vince Russo had an obession with Marylin Manson that was borderline creepy.
- ECW was 40% wrestling. 60% brand loyalty. It seems Joey Styles can't go two minutes without taking a pot shot at the competition or reminding us that we're watching ECW.
- I hate Sunny with every fiber of my being. The only valet/personality I hate more than Sunny is Missy Hyatt, and it isn't by much.
- The only thing fans in the late 90s liked more than wrestling was being homophobic.
- Tony Schiavone spent 1998 and up phoning it in.
- Tommy Dreamer and John Cena play the same basic character.

Idisagree with some of these points, but Saturn was pretty damn cool. One of the best diving elbows ever, in my opinion.

Watching Souled Out 2000.
Confused Dean Malenko is hilarious.
I can't decide whether I like Vampiro or not.
It's further strengthened my hate of The Harris Brothers. I love the Mamalukes.
Ahmed Johnson was somehow even worse in WCW and he called women a fish.
The WCW.com booth was their Spanish announce table.
I never knew Benoit and Sid were friends going into this.

Same here actually. I've learned who Tony Marinara was. I'd heard the name before, but never actually seen the guy. Also, Disco Inferno was apparently part of the Mamalukes for some reason. Crazy David Flair is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever seen, but boy did he suck in the ring. Oklahoma vs Madusa... well I knew going in it would be horrible... and I was not disappointed. Brian Knobbs and Fit Finlay is one of the weirdest teams ever.

Have been trying to watch all of the Wrestlemanias. I've found I enjoy the 80's and early 90's more than the Attitude era. Which in a way, isn't surprising for me because I was a WCW fan during the Attitude era and was always more of a fan of Rock n Wrestling a lot more.

Trish Stratus was a trooper in 2000. She gets powerbombed through a table by Bubba Ray in April, then in May she gets launched into low orbit by Big Show. Not sure if anything happens to her in June.

That spot where they bashed the two CRT monitors together was hilarious.

I love that the 1993 Raws have the Ico Pro, Slim Jim and WWF Hasbro figure commercials intact. I know it takes time to produce figures but it is funny to see how out of date the figures were by the time the commercials aired. Two of the three people in the commercial, Slaughter and Bulldog were no longer wrestling in WWF by the 4th episode of Raw when it aired.

Since you brought it up, I always thought Randy Savage's Slim Jim career was entirely during his WCW phase. Never knew until watching those RAWs that he advertised for Slim Jim while still being in the WWF.

That before his official debut at Royal Rumble 1993, Lex Luger was referred to as "Narcissus" (sp?).
In fact, on the actual RR broadcast I watched a while back, I think Bobby continued to refer to him as Narcissus right until before the unveiling. The unveiling happens, we see on the tron in the background "Narcissist" Lex Luger and Bobby immediately turns around and calls him "Narcissist" Lex Luger.

Aside from the Stephanie rumors, the most popular belief is that McMahon was angry with Savage because he took the Slim Jim sponsorship to WCW.
